I have lurked around AGO forums for years now and finally decided to properly join the and take part in the discussion on the forums. I have always read posts and comments but I have never posted anything myself til now.
My true obsession began when I was probably in middle school and my dad bought a brand new 2007 Honda Pilot, the car's paint looked flawless at the time but after a year or so it began having swirls. It bothered me alot and I would always ask my dad if there was any way to get rid of all those swirls, to which he would reply yes you just have to take the car to a detail shop. He ended up taking it to get detailed once after he bought it and I remember being really excited to see the car when it was done. When he brought it back I was dismayed to see that the swirls were there still but there was just less of them. I don't blame the detailer because he was friends with my brother and he had pretty much done the car for free. At that point I believed that there was no way to get a swirl free shine but as I was scouring the web one day I ran into AGO. I browsed around the Show N' Shine sub-forum and my hope was reborn. After reading around I finally bought a DA from harbor freight and detailed my car at the time and have never looked back.
My only regret is that I must go around everyday and stare at the horrendous swirls in car parking lots and cringe, it's like living a nightmare I swear :help:
