The other shop I'm doing work for had a request from a lady that wanted her car done inside and out today. There is a KC Buffalo Rally tomorrow (all the big dollar cars will be there) and she is entered in this car. So, the car is waiting when I show up at the shop. Holeeeeee Moleeeeee.....we have problems galore. Cat scratches on the driver door, wheels that have baked in brake dust, soiled interior...u-name-it.

As it's supposed to rain tomorrow during the rally, I suggested a thorough wash and wheel clean, then interior clean, then maybe start on the scratches and swirls.

Pictures tell the tale!

Used 2 bottles of Meg's Hot Rims plus APC plus soap and water

Then added some metal polish and tire dressing for a presentable appearance

Now...ready for some paint shots? Please sit down for these as the car is 1 year old with 5,000 on the odometer

So, I polished the hood somewhat, got rid of the cat scratches on the driver door and used Z-AIO to spiffy it up for the rally. Next week, it comes back for a full compound/polish/wax treatment. But at least it's presentable

Oh, I got a nice ride in this twin turbo W-12...for a 6,200 Lb car, it launches like a Porsche 996!

Toto

I'm really impressed both by the car and your remarkable job!
It's really a shame that people let their cars in such a shape, but anyway, that's why you've got a job today right? hehe

Very nice Toto. That Bentley really does move out for a big car. At least someone can actually set in the back set on a Flying Spur. It's funny that a Bentley GT has such a beautiful back seat but is not practical for anyone with legs.

Man oh man!!! U get to do some nice cars!! Im jealous to the nth degree. I would of knocked that lady upside her head for letting it get that nasty

Thanks for the compliments Everyone! This shop owner specializes in exotics and has quite a following. He wants me to be his premier detailer...so a BIG door is opening for me. Between this shop and the BMW dealer, I don't think I'm gonna be lacking any cars to do all winter.

As for the lady, she is now receptive to a monthly maintenance routine on the car. That alone should keep this car in pristine condition when I'm finished with the initial workup.

I would knock her upside the head for bringing it to you the day before the show... what was she thinking.... letting that car get that nasty! Crazy lady! :D But you gotta love dealing with the public. :D
Great job, especially the wheels! Thanks for sharing, this one cracked me up!

Well, one BIG item I'm learning is the nature of customers who have these "very" expensive cars....they are thinking "quick wash and wipe down" and everything will be peachy...I've managed to edu-mi-cate a few so far and that helps.

The BMW shop is reconditioning cars for resale so I don't know who the customer will be. Totally different approach as customer service is to the dealer, not an owner.

But, the exotic shop owner is having me speak at the Ferrari Owner's Club meeting next month...that's a good thing!

Toto

Those didn't even look like the same wheels!

Did the cat puke on the hood?

Nice Job!

Toto that is some mighty fine work. I told you, you are the MAN! I tell you everytime I open one of your threads I sit there with my mouth open in awe of your work. By the way thanks again for all of your help and thanks to you the Stealth looks pristine again :D!

Nice! It looks like you will have some nice cars to work on in the future.

It's amazing to see the turn around, but it makes me sick to see nice cars in that condition. But as you said, it seems like most of the people I know with nice cars don't take care of them at all.

Great work as always Toto! I'm looking forward to your future work. I'm sure it will consist of some nice eye candy.

Amazing once again! Good luck with your new found "door openings"!

having seen several of these cars in bad shape, it appears they fail to use the newer ceramiclear that Mercedes and Maybach use on top line offerings.

Truly enjoy reading your posts! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, the quality of your work is always outstanding! Thanks again!

I'm so glad that things are starting to go in a better direction for you. As always the car is incredible......in more ways than one. I hope we see some pictures after you put the full whammy on it.

Very nice work, that is a beautiful car, love the interior more than the exterior though. And it was very nice talking to you today!;)
Your work is top notch, we are very lucky to have you share these details with us, thank you for taking the time.

No sense in me buying a rotary! I'll just take a short road trip north. Excellent work, as always.
