Best Affordable Mitt

Think about it...what will touch your cars surface way more times than a foam pad?...wash mitt. I'd highly recommend getting one of these:

Merino wool wash mitt, auto wash mitt, sheepskin wash mitt

Sheepskin wash mitt, Supernatural Wash Mitt, The Wookie mitt, wool wash mitt

:iagree: I have used just about everything available; all kinds of sponges, mitts, and even the Boars Hair Brush. My favorite was the Dodo Yetti which was a baby Wookie. For some reason I don't see it in the store anymore. Don't know what happened to it. :dunno:

I am using the Wookie now and love it. It holds a lot of water/soap and you can use both sides, but the main reason I use it is that it doesn't scratch my car. It (and the Yeti) are the only ones that I've been able to use weekly on some nasty road grime and not get marring.

I'll admit, taking care of it isn't all that easy. I wash mine out, brush it, hang it to dry with the cuff open, then brush it again before using it. So, there's some work associated with it. However, exactly like alko said, it and my MF towels are the only things I want touching the car, so I don't cut corners with those two items.

Are the sponges at auto parts that bad?

I wouldn't say they're bad. We're giving you recommendations based upon our experiences and we all here share the same passion for car care. I, personally, would never go back to using a regular ole sponge. I love the wookies fist and trust it....it doesn't mar the paint or induce swirls. I would purchase another wookies fist in a heart beat.

happy to hear the wookies fist is that good i have 2 of them that i haven't tried yet have been using a micro chenille mitt for awhile i have a rubber pet brush purchased from autogeek will this work in brushing it out ok

the peak microfiber is fine, nothing great about it, nothing bad really, the mitts are fine, the towels aren't very plush unless you pay for the 8ish dollar plush 1 towel ones lol
