I have been trying to narrow my detailing product line down to only a few products to save room and money, which I know may be impossible with all the new products that come out. I'm pretty set on on my compounds and polishes, Menzerna and Optimum, but I am trying to make a decsion on my AIO or cleaner/wax for my basic detail jobs were I just want to clean the paint up and real minor correction and protect it in one step, maybe put a wax on top. I have been using Optimum PoliSeal and like its performance, but I hear alot of people talk about xmt 360 and was wondering if it may be a better way to go. What would be the better of the two to go within your opinion or is there another product that I may not know about?

Poliseal is a good product but doesn't clean all that much, from my experiences. Poorboy's PwS is a very good paint cleaner, it leaves behind sealant and will correct paint depeninding on pad and machine choice. Use it withj a rotary and the slickness will be awesome. Just like any other AIO, the longer you use it as a polish to remove swirls, the less protection it'll give, but a spray wax like OCW or Opti-seal is quick enough to add that protection back.

well when I first got 360 i liked it alot... since my first bottle I ordered two more, now i don't know if i got a bad batch or what, but was not impressed with it since.

I have tried PB PwS, liked it alot, very easy to work
Klasse AIO, very nice as well, but expensive
DG 105... my favorite right now

KAIO because not only does it do a hell of a job cleaning paint but use it for outside glass, trim, rims ect .

Maybe this is astupid question, but does the PB or in this do any of the AIO/Cleaner-Waxes have any cut to them are are they only chemical, and the pad your using does the cutting instead?

Does Poorboy's correct or fill?

No fillers ... the amount of correction depends on the pad and machine. You can't feel any abrasives in the product but it is considered to have micro abrasives which is basically just from the materials that make the product, no traditional swirl removal abrasives. However used with a light cut pad it'll remove swirling and even moreso with a rotary.

I love the XMT360. I also like the KAIO. Those two will save you money, though the XMT360 is not an AIO type product, it will still correct minor blemishes, and polishes out real nice...

I'm going back to Poorboys PwS (been using 360). Since you've been using Poli-Seal here's a mix that is good: Poli-Seal 75%/OP 25%.

This ones easy... Duragloss 501... hands down! Stuff cleans like you wouldn't believe, and holds up on it's own extremely well. I bet it would be a great foundation for Opti-Seal.

If you are looking for an AIO chemical/mechanical polish why not mix your own?

You can do it on the fly.

Menzerna mixed with DG501 or even 360 would work well. I usually go 3 parts Menzerna and 1 part other. That way I figure I am correcting more than anything else.

I have used XMT 360 on several cars and I'm not that impressed. I like Klasse and Optimum Poli-Seal better. The XMT was real finicky or I just got a bad bottle. With that said, anyone want to some 360 to trade!

Can 501 be applied by hand like Klasse AIO?
Also do you feel it would need to be topped with something similar to Klasse SG (again, by hand)?
And is 501 much different than 105?

DG 501 is a great product. I use it on everything--paint, windows, wheels (not tires ;)). It cleans very well, is easy to apply by hand (thin of course) and remove. Top with 105 for an excellent combo. In fact you only need 1 coat of 105 since it mimics the 501. It's also much easier to clean and remove on wheels than DP Wheel Glaze and lasts just as long.

How much correction ability does 501 have? Is it pad dependent?

have you tried 50/50 Poorboy's PwS/ Menzerna wax?

This is the best combo I've used for an all in one. I know you will have to buy two products but you get the best of both worlds.......

Menz. APO60 is an abrasive AIO that lasts for about 2 months. It will remove 2500 grit sanding marks and light swirls very easily.

Poorboy's Polish with Sealant (PwS) is my all time favorite AIO. It's a chemical cleaner......the best I've ever used with 3+ months protection. It's mechanical defect removal is pad dependant though. I have removed light swirls with it and it's awesome on glass.

So when you combine the two at a 50/50 ratio, you get the best AIO in my opinion. I've used this mix for over 2 months now. I'm getting 3 months durability on my bi-weekly customers. This is due to the thoroughly cleaned surface that this mix produces. You will get a deep, wet finish also. Scuffs, and swirls will be removed as well. It does wonders on glass and has never stained trim. I've done 25+ vehicles.....wheels, paint, glass.......out of a single 8oz. bottle.

Why do a 2 stage correction and then add protection when you simply don't have too? This system works. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.

Mixxer,
Can you top KAIO with sealants other than KSG? I have KAIO and really like it as a cleaner but I was not sure if sealants like dgps would bond to it since it leaves an acrylic layer I believe. Look forward to your input.

My favorite is Jeff's Werkstatt Prime or if you want some more correcting ability, Prime Strong!

The customer service rep at AG once told me topping KAIO w/WG DGPS was fine. I've done it on more than one occasion and didn't notice any issues with bonding or longevity. If you're worried about it, use the WG PPE as the pre-cleaner.
