Best AIO?

Meguiars D151 for cut, top with collinite or dg aquawax.

Duragloss 501 for cleaning power and amazing durability.

Your choice.

Either:
-Optimum Poli-Seal
-Meg's A12
-Klasse AIO

It is a one-step process your looking for, I believe.

I'm a huge AIO fan. I've tried just about every "well regarded" AIO on the market. There are different varieties, some claim to be AIOs but there are usually two sacrifices, durability or the amount of cut. Very few products cut well and have any sort of durability. The exception is ZAIO and to a lesser extent DG501. Both clean well and are durable but ZAIO cuts much better and is slightly more durable.

Everything else really falls into the doesn't cut or doesn't last long category. That includes all Megs AIOs, Poliseal, HD Speed, KAIO, FK, and all the OTC cleaner waxes.

Then there are people who say, well, just top it. But why? I'd rather hit the car with something like HD Polish and then follow with a good sealant.

Is ZAIO = Klasse AIO? I tried DG501/601 (bonding agent) and wasn't overly impressed so I topped it with Col845. I really want just a one step AIO that delivers great results.

Meg's D151 works great.

I really like DG501 Its the longest lasting aio that I ever used. Last year I did 2 cars with 501,I clayed first . These 2 cars are outside cars and they are washed often . Now this year I did these cars also used 501 , they didnt need clay and they still looked good.I know 501 will not last a year , but it shure last a long time.

What polisher and pads do you usually use with DG501? Do you top it with a wax as a last step as well?

I used white pad to start with, if the paint is not cleaning enought I step up to a green pad.

MAJOR Noob question

Do you work these products like a polish? And if so, how many passes?

Or like applying a sealent?

Meguiars will soon be releasing two new cleaner waxes: Black Wax and White Wax. They sound pretty good, I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews and maybe giving the WW a shot on my DD.

All in one products are work similarly to polishes. They're typically applied with an orange, green, and white foam pads.

Some all in one products use fine abrasives in their formulation while others rely solely on chemicals.

The number of passes is determined by the condition of the paint and the look you're trying to achieve...

My favorite AIO is Duragloss 501, which has both strong cleaners and nano-abrasives plus, since it is a sealant, it will last up to 6 months. I always top with Collinite 845.

I did both cars by hand. I rub in till it almost disappears, let dry and wipe off . No last step product applied.

I really do not understand this question. and most of this tread. It seems to me that the point in using an AIO is not to do any addtional steps. All in One means one step.

Why would anyone use a AIO and top it? What is the point of an AIO if you are going to top it.

What is the best and easiest AIO to use alone? not bottomed and not toped?

Thanks

I use poorboys polish with sealant most of the time. If I want more correction I used d151. PWS definitely lasts longer.

Lmao...agree....it's a contradiction. Conversely, I like to top after AIO.

Love D151. After cut/polish switch to a finishing pad with D151 and let it dry to a haze before removing. Adds extra gloss and extends durability.

I use to work it with an orange or white and then remove. Now I used the above method and it works great.
