Hey guys,

After having a kitten for 2 months, my bathroom doesn't smell like it used to. Also, after applying the 303 fabric protector in my car, I lost the 'New Car Smell'. So I want to know what to avoid and what lasts the longest. I still use the aersol spray and the effects are strong at first but last for only 30 minutes. As for my old car, I used a bunch of different asian air fresheners such as the air spencer, the little ball pearls, and wal-mart ones where you stick a little rubber strip in your A/C vents. I found that the wal-mart strips were the most effective which left my car smelling yummy everytime I returned and lasted longer than some of the asian ones. I tried Googling to find non-biased reviews but came empty-handed. I know most of you enjoy the smell of your interior detailing products but I know some of you like that 'girly' melon cumber yum yum stuff :D

Febreze ???
Yup, we use it in the house and cars. But are you talking more specifically like one of the tree hangy things?

I used to have what I think your using. Was like a little perfume type bottle and cliped on the a/c vent so when the a/c was on it would circulate the smell. Stopped using it after one fell off and caused a mess.

Cute little kitten. I keep one of the "new car" smell ones wrapped up in a piece of fabric in my glove box. It gives the car a faint hint of fragrance without being over powering, at least until I have to open the glove box for something. ;) It's still better than the mustiness from the rain! :)

anyone tried these japanesse air fresheners, they are almost always scented "squash" ?????????????

I think most prefer just a clean smelling car, and Febreze can help or an odor eliminator if it is really bad. I too like the different scents and want to try out a new car type smell. FN where did you get yours and does it smell accurate? BTW, I have strawberry scent that last 30 mins or whatever. Smells good while it lasts.

I picked up a bottle of the Febreze Auto and have been happy with the results.

I've never used Febreze. Looks like I'll have to break down and get myself a bottle. Which one is the better one to get? The original one or the one specifically for autos? Thanks

I like the Fabreeze stuff, smells great and last. I forget what scent I have now, something like Rain Mist? No hype either, it does take away odors (like how rooms can sometimes get that stale smell from door being closed all the time).

It is probably the same thing, but I have been using a small bottle I bought for auto. Not very expensive.

Thanks honey. :) I'll give it a try. With all of this rain my car is starting to get a musty smell. :(
