Best car scent

While I can't attest to what may work as far as sprays and such for a customer's vehicle, in my personal vehicle I use a black "Scentportable" vent clip holder from Bath and Body Works. It blends in well to my interior clipped to the far left vent. I dislike many of the refill scents they sell, but the "mahogany teakwood" is a winner for me.

Spearmint Eucalyptus is pretty decent too. It's also a great scent to use as a wall plug in your bathroom. Nice clean fresh smell without being headachy.

Oh, and I prefer the visor clip holder. I can clip it to the visor, far left side of my rear view mirror or just throw it anywhere out of the way.

Clean car smell:)

I dislike all fragrances since my wife and I have gone fragrance free in our laundry detergents. We spend so little time in our cars that they have never picked up any odors. My Lexus smells like Lexol leather conditioner from cleaning the seats 3 weeks ago. My 11 year old Sienna smells like Toyota plastics and upholster, but not new scent.

Best car sent=keep it clean.

That's my answer as well. I have been in cars with immaculate interiors that are 20-30 years old that still smell great with no air freshener at all.

Ya'll should see my brothers 2006 Mustang GT: Husky hairs all over the place, left over food in food containers [still thinking of a name for that air freshner], and some what mud on his steering wheel/dash panel I am unsure how it got mud into his car when there is no rain or mud pits in Los Angeles.

I`m careful with many of my clients who have kids when spraying fragrances. I will usually let him/her smell the scent beforehand to ok it. I keep 3 scents:

- CG Stripper Scent - Car Guys love this

what does this smell like lol? I hear that is the best scent

I bought a used car 11 months ago. It smelled great and I can never pin point the fragrance. It STILL smells amazing 11 months later. Does anyone have any experience with an air freshener like that? I’m wondering if it was the Nexzett one that you have to take the dash off for. Anyone dome this? How about the Wurth brand or the dakotas? I want long lasting.....

i just use one of these (different variety) and put it in the cup holder...

well where would i put my beer then?

It's more about how the girls smell, not the place ;)

I mix new car scent and stripper scent and dilute it. I can't remember the dilution ratio since I did this 3 years ago and still have about 2 quarts of it left. I think it was 5:1 but really cannot recall. I think the combination smells better than either products on their own. My only issue is that it barely lasts a day ;( I keep a small vaporizer bottle in my own car and give one 3 or 4 squirts when I want the car to smell nice.

I agree with this. I just bought some cg new car smell. I sprayed a few sprays each under the seats as directed. At first I thought maybe i sprayed too much but I was liking the scent. Monday on the way to work it smelled good. Wednesday it was gone.

I am a big fan of the CG sprays as well. IMO New car and Leather are the same. Black ice reminds me of gillette deodorant from Jr high school and stripper scent is dead on. All women love the smell until you reveal the name. It smells mostly of vanilla with a little floral and sweet fruit.

When I swap out my cabin filter I soak it in the freshener of choice, usually CG new car, and then put it in. The smell hits every time you turn on the ac or heat.At least for a week or two, but that's longer than spraying it in the car.

I've also just resorted to hitting the car with a shot or two of cologne very now and then.

Not easy to find, but I always liked Bubble Gum. Smells like Juicy Fruit Gum.

I use a variety but usually its Wonder Wafers leather, new car scent or baby powder scent.
I also have bombs for real bad smells like smoke and dogs

On a customers car you should always ask for preference or offer a sample, some people don't like anything too.

I’ve had many compliments on a product called Environscent AutoSticks. I’ve used both Showroom and Mahogany Wood. They are supposed to last about 30 days, but if your car sits out in the hot summer sun, it’s probably closer to 20 days.

CG guys stuff smells good, but hasn’t been lasting long. Again, maybe fall temperatures will provide some longevity...

I don’t think that aerosol spray air fresheners are meant to last very long. They are for spraying frequently to cover daily odors, like carry-out food.
The only kind of deodorizer that is going to last is a solid.

I like Chemical Guys air fresheners. I have 30+ scents in my arsenal and my customers always choose and love Chemical Guys for the last spray I do. I like them for my own car. My favorites are Rides & Coffee, Honeydew, Fresh Doughnut and Bubble Gun. My customers favorites are usually New Car, Fresh Cherry and Stripper Scent. New Car and Leather are different. Fresh Doughnut is the scent used by DisneyWorld in the Mickey’s Philharmagic 3D attraction during the cupcake scene.

I would quote a line from the movie "Christine", when Arnie met Mr. Lebay, but I don't want to be banned......... ;)
