Best car wash soap

Poorboy's SSS, Duragloss #901, or Optimum car wash. I found Optimum works very well, and sudz last and last...

my old house had hard water and the best stuff period was the DP extreme foam even with the hard water it had super suds and lube!

I forgot to add Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash.
I'm adding Pinnacle's for future soap :D

The best shampoo's I have used would be Griot's...DG 901 ...CG's Citrus wash and also the Extreme Body wash...top of the line's Bubble bath....

All have HIGH lubricity...great cleaning abilities and leave a nice surface sheen and some slickness to the paint...

None have proven to be harsh to LSP's when used as directed...

concentrated so you use less than regular shampoo's

I wanted to try the CG Citrus Wash but heard if you don't get the ratio correct its actually pretty potent and can strip your LSP?

Surfer...using the 1/2 oz to 2 gallons of water is safe....I have even gone as far as using close to 3 gallons with that amount...still very luby on the paint and still cleans nice...but if car is somewhat dirty..then the 2 gallon with 1/2 oz is good...

do not eye the amount....I use a medicine cup from the cold medicines..and use just that amount...1/2 oz...and its fine....

Now if you are going to prep a car for polishing and want to get the real grime and dead product off..use 1 oz to a gallon..that really cleans....

I put 2 ozs in a 32 oz spray bottle and rest water....thats a real nice wheel cleaner and degreaser..

I bought a gallon of CG Citrus Wash and dispensed it in a 12 oz. squeeze bottle. I put 1 oz. per 5 gallons and it's EXCELLENT to say the least. No stripping of wax! Just like Al, I measure exactly 1 oz. as well.

However, I did make a strong batch in a sprayer to clean wheels and that also works very well.

A versatile product!

I'm glad you liked it! I love this stuff, I just used it today. It loves to foam up when I squeeze the Shmitt in the soap bucket. I think this is my go to soap now :D. I still love my Poorboy's soap though, the smell is just excellent!

Al, have you tried the DP Extreme Foam?

I have CG Citrus, Zaino, and Meguiars Gold Class. All good. Prefer first 2, but not by much. CG for the value, plus you can strip with it at high concentration.

CG sitrus wash and gloss is very nice. It's strong if you go 1oz/1 gallon route, but with dillutino ratio of 1/2 oz of soap and 2 gallons of water you will have excellent maintaince wash. Best of all it is very cost efficient.

CG citrus wash and shine, DG 901 and Zaino z7 are my favorite washes.

I've only used Mirror Glaze 00 and DG 901 so far, but the DuraGloss was nicer, better, and smells good!

Mirror Glaze 00 worked OK, so I gave it to my Dad to try to get him to quit using Palmolive. It worked!

Perhaps you should try Poorboy's SS&S.

I was told DG 901 could be purchased OTC at Napa, or Carquest. I have gone to every single car store within about 50 miles of my home and I have yet to see any DG product. The only thing I have seen is Megs GC of course. I want to try some DG 901. Is it alot better than the Megs GC?

Yes - significantly so IMO - and I don't consider Meg's GC to be a bad soap either.

Ask them if they can get from the warehouse..you get it next day most times or that afternoon..Alot of places do not stock it but have it at warehouse..makes no sense ..but most here do not have it in the store but have at warehouse...strange
