Best Carnuba?

Sorry... Do you even know what polymers are?

I think what he is saying is that he does not care to know anything about the chemistry of waxes or sealants. He just wants someone to tell him what wax to use. He knows he needs to wax it to make it look purdy.

I still find Souveran, SSII, and Fuzion to be able to take on all others. Easy to apply and remove. No sweating, no rebuffing and no effort for similar looks. Ive yet to find anyone find anything substantial to offer against others like Ital, Concours, and others costing more.

These are two pretty nice waxes and when compared side by side it's difficult for me to determine which one is the better of the two....

Bobby,

I love the look of Souveran, but it just doesn't last that long. I get maybe 3-4 weeks out of it. Thats why I tried the Swissvax Concorso.

I'm also waiting for my Fuzion refill and I am going to put that on the wifes car and see how long it lasts. I haven't used it in awhile and don't remember how long I got out of it last time. I'm going to apply it with my Flex 3401 and a blue LC pad

Blackfire Midnight Sun, it is hands down the winner over souveran and fuzion. Looks deeper and is not as oily when removing.

I just used Blackfire Midnight Sun over their Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant and this is quite a combination that shouldn't be overlooked......

I agree completely Ed...

Many of these "premium" waxes produce a gorgeous wet shine but their protection doesn't last all that long. I've never tried Swissvax but I hear it's a real nice product...:props:

It is pricey, but I got to splurge with my tax refund, (wife got a $300 purse, and I got a $300 wax lol) and it is awesome. I don't know if its worth $280.00, but it was fun to get to try it out! It will last me along time too.

Zymol Solaris Glaze -Not sure if its the best but better be at that price

By the way how is the Dodo Juice Supernatural i wanna try the deodarant stick one just cause i have never used a highend wax and it seems kinda cool lol

That will be next years tax return lol.

I have the Dodo SN deoderant stick, only did my hood with it. Amazing beading with it. I think the next time I wax I will do the whole truck with it.

This video angers me. Mostly because oh it costs this much so it must be good mentanity But its kinda along the lines of the thread.

I love Signature Series II and Max Wax. Agreeably, Collinite can't be beat for durability - I have both 845 and 476S. I like Fuzion as well but haven't played with it much (only used it on 2 or 3 cars), and I have Chemical Guys 50/50 but haven't gotten to use it yet. Maybe after pollen season is over - seems like my poor car gets hammered with crap from off the trees every day. Grrrrr. :detailer:

On another note, I would like to play with some of the Dodo Juice waxes though. Maybe someday.

what do you mean? ive seen some crazy shine with that combo.

My flavor of the month is Bilt Hamber Finis wax. Great looks and durability, releases dirt well making it easy to clean.

Every wax is the best wax when applied properly :xyxthumbs: Just depends on the desired look & purpose desired.

  • Cleaning Quality
  • Shine Quality: Mild/High gloss, deep color transparency (pop), durability/protection length, repairability of damaged single stage, etc...
I personally prefer the highest wet look possible along with protection, so I'll generally do a full 5-6 step on my Rx7 (Cherry Red) factory paint. I prefer the clarity of color to to shine as much as possible... call me egotistical, haha. 20 years old and I still have the original red with no CC failure anywhere. Definitely helps to wax regularly.

-Wash
-Clay
-Polish
-Sealant
-Finishing Wax of preferance

Meg's Hi-Tech Yellow Wax!!!
(seriously though its some really good wax.. maybe not the best but still really good for the price)

Look for a wax/sealant that has good durability. Prep work is the most important factor in getting a high gloss. A wax/sealant only protects the gloss on the clear coat. The final look of your paint is achieved by 90% polish and 10% wax.
