best compounds & polishes?

Actually in the first post I did say I was trying to correct the paint of my hondas & that I've been doing it by hand in the past but am going to begin machine polishing...Didn't think to say that I was detailing for money as well b/c what's one detail from another detail? I treat a customer's car the same as mine. (better lately:P) As far as pricing goes, I will tweak my pricing now that I'm going to start more serious paint correction, though I feel like less is more sometimes. I have offered interior, exterior, or full details for awhile & nearly everyone gets the full detail. I will add "heavy paint correction" or a name something like that to my menu for extra money. Also, come to think of it, I did use collinite while helping a friend detail his boat, and it did work well. (1st & last boat detail lol) And getting a one step product for cheap clients who want decent results is also a good idea.

No. Good intentions, wrong approach...

If you're working on daily drivers, then stick to using one-step cleaner/waxes for the exterior. Read this article,

Yeah you're right...I won't rush. people have been happy with my work before & many people dont know a swirl from a squirrel so I'll probably offer a one step type process like klasse or something along those lines standard to my regular exterior/interior details & I'll ask them if they want a "showcar detail" as an option.

Thanks all for the help! if you have any additional suggestions/comments you can post them, but I think I'm going to order some poorboys & collinite. might get some megs m105/205 if I don't like the poorboys.

You can pick-up some Megs M105 and 205 in 8oz sizes. You'll save some cash and it'll be enough to get a feel for them. Poorboy's makes some good polishes. I use SSR2 regularly and the only drawback I can think of is dusting. It dusts a little, and I do mean a little. But it's easy to work with, it corrects well, finishes well too and wipes off easy. Oh and it's a bargain at the price they sell it at. :props:
