Best Conditioner for Black Leather

I have been using Pinnacle Leather Conditioner on tan leather and have been very satisfied. Recently I got a new car with high quality black leather and black top stitching. I noticed that the Pinnacle Leather Conditioner leaves a slight white residue on the black leather. I never noticed this on the tan leather. What is the best conditioner to use on black leather that won't leave a residue yet still provide excellent conditioning?

These two are top quality, the best of the best.
 
You might try Four Star Leather Conditioner Gel. I've read good things about Leatherique as well.
 
conditioners don't penetrate the leather coatings on most vehicles today. They sit on the top and actually attract dust. I've stopped using my mother's leather conditioner for my car seats and instead use it on my uncoated leather furniture...

All you need to take care of leather is to wipe it down with a damp terry towel, and then put on a protectant like 303 aerospace, leather masters protection cream, or Ultima interior guard
 
Oh yeah, I also have the Four Star, it's good stuff. And smells great!

What you've said is correct when working with semi-Aniline, pigmented or coated leather. But not true when working with Aniline leather.

OP didn't speficy his type of leather.
 
Leatherique Pristine Clean as a cleaning step - only when needed. I protect with 303 Aerospace.
 
I have been having good luck with Poorboy's Leather Stuff

true, but I also said my advice applied to most vehicles today.

I definitely wouldn't want the leather in my car to be aniline but I'm sure some sadistic company out there has it as an overpriced option.

is that becouse some of the leather in new cars is sealed?got a new car prep to do and was thinkin of doin ultima interior shampoo and a coat of uipt[dont know much about leather in mew cars]

Aniline leather is far superior to any other type of leather, fact.
I have it on my maybach and it's absolutely amazing, it stays cool in the summer and hot in the winter, it has no cracks or flaws whatsoever.

You may not like it, but IT IS better.
 
I have aniline on some club chairs and a couple ottomans and love the feel along with the patina gained over time but my coated leather seats feel just as soft and require much less maintenance.

I think the cool in the summer and warm in the winter thing is a property of all leather, not just aniline-dyed. It quickly takes on the temperature of whatever is against it...

most leather in new cars (with a few pricey exceptions) has a topcoat like the clear on your car.

It's generally good practice to add additional protection (UIGP is a great choice!) to prevent the topcoat from being discoloured by dirt and body oils. Regular vaccuuming also keeps grit from being ground against the topcoat by the act of getting into and out of your seats.
 
Great information and suggestions so far. I don't think the leather in my new Hyundai Genesis is aniline. Aerospace 303 Protectant is one of the best products I have used. Absolutely love it for the dash and all interior plastic. Never thought about using it on leather though.
 
Any tips how to fixed very slight worn/scuffed side bolsters on black leather seats. Is there some type of cosmetic black touch up? I've been looking and all I've found are these black leather touch up pens from Harley Davidson:

Read your owners manual on how to care for your interior seat trim.
 
Has anyone used leather honey? It can be greasy if you over apply, but it's supposed to be the best of the best. Completely turned around an old couch of ours.

I like this stuff too it cleans and conditions. Its a thick liquid, like hair cnditioner. You rub it in by hand and it leaves a wet looking shine at first but it's dry to the touch. When it rubs off the leather feels soft. Very happy with this one. I only used griots spray stuff before and I havent used it since getting poorboys from autogeek.
 
I protect all leather surfaces with Wolfgang leather conditioner. Leaves a really nice scent afterwards and goes on thin and buffs off easy.
