Best cordless drill?

So im looking for a cordless drill to do buff headlights! So far the makita one has been catching my eye! I like the fact that the batteries charge in 15 minutes! Ive also heard great things about the bosch drills! So what do you guys own!? I know a cordless drill is a must have tool around the house and a great tool to buff headlights! What was your choice of drill? Witch one has been more effective and is strong? Help me out here! Its going to be my first tike buying a cordless drill!
 
If you want the Best, go Snap-On. But If you want a good one that doesn't doesn't cost an arm and a leg, go with Makita, Bosch, Milwaki, or Dewalt.

Another thing to keep in mind is the battery type: Lithium Ion last the longest, never loses power as as the battery begins to run out, has a longer shelf life, and charges much faster. Don't get Nickel Cadmium(NiCa) unless you are old fashioned.

Honestly I don't care for cordless drills for buffing headlights. They tend to be too bulky and cumbersome compared to their corded counterparts, and for that matter if you've got a polisher you can just pick up a small backing plate and some spot pads to get the job done for much less than the cost of a drill.

Ah! Snap on. I get 50% off from nearly all snap on tools! I will look into them. Thanks for reminding me. If i get it for around $200 with the diacount then ill sure buy it!

When you buy a cordless drill, always get 2 batteries. One on the drill, one in the charger. You're always ready.

I'd assume the battery life is above par seeeing as how spares start at about $200, but you would be better off calling the manufacturer to be sure.:props:

John's giving some very good advise here!

I have Bosch and Hitachi, both are the Lithium Ion technology and I have to say these are both great performers. When I buy them I look for the kit that always contains 2 batteries and a charger. Like every other tool they have their place but I also have my corded tools that I won't be without..
 
Lots of good recs, but one note on Lithium Ion...when they reach the end of their charge they stop suddenly...think light switch. This could be bad if you're in the middle of a project and away from your spare/charger.

Heavier 18v models can be heavy and bulky. You might do well with a cheaper 14v or other model from a good brand name mentioned.
 
I have a Dewalt cordless and the batteries have quit taking a charge after only about 1 1/2 years of moderate use, not real happy about that. And new batt. cost about as much as a new drill.

you seriously need to chill out. i do most of my post typing on my phone and its just a habit that i have on my phone. we all here are free to type how we want, so if it bothers you, just dont read the post and move on.

I think perhaps you're mistaken regarding who needs to chill out.... but like you said you're free to think and act how you want and are going to do so regardless of anyone's suggestions or input. So please, feel how you will. :xyxthumbs:
