Haven't used Iron X in a while and will start using it again soon.

What is the best delivery method/sprayer for Iron X? I'd like something that sprayed a fine mist in a controlled manner.

I'd think a hand held pressure sprayer would be good, but will they hold up with Iron X use?

Thanks in advance...

I use a trigger sprayer set to mist. I go through about 3/4 of a litter on a decon I perform once a year on all my cars. That incudes the wheels and all paint and glass. I have a heavy hand. Could probably use 1/2 a litter.

I use a small hand pump atomizer sprayer. Incredibly less waste and more efficient use of product with perfectly even coverage.

Tell me more......

More? I use a 20-40 ounce atomizer pump sprayer from L*wes or Wally World found in lawn and garden section with Iron X. The product can also be spread around with a microfiber or applicator pad after being sprayed on the panels to conserve more product.

I use a Flairosol spray bottle, lays down a very fine even mist of Iron X.

im going to order mine while the sale is going on this weekend. What size bottle would you need for a medium size crossover? Thanks for starting this thread.

Before you order the IronX you might want to take a look at this thread: CLOSED: 3D BDX Brake Dust Remover Review + Giveaway

Can be used on wheels and paint--seems like a better deal.

With either one here's a tip from the Carpro website: "You can cover the surface with Iron X by spraying it everywhere but that can be wasteful. I recommend that you spray as needed and spread it with a small sponge or applicator to cover the entire surface. You may also consider using an atomizer type spray bottle or HVLP gun. In any case evenly cover the surfaces you wish to decontaminate. The product is strong so you don’t have to be wasteful. Just make sure it contacts the entire surface."

Yes, that new 3D product looks good! As far as Iron X application, i spray it onto the surface covering most of the paint. I then take my ProLine grout sponge and spritz it with Iron X and then lightly work what i've sprayed onto the vehicle for more complete coverage then, like Prince, wait for the Purple Rain.

I ended up getting the Solo 418 One-Hand Pressure Sprayer, 1-Liter and ordered a liter of Iron X.

IronX will mess up the wheel weights, since they are usually bare metal...what are you all doing about this?

Oddly, I was just thinking about this today. YES. I am VERY happy with that sprayer for Iron X. In fact, it is so well sealed I can keep it in the house without smelling anything. The application with the sprayer was very satisfying and efficient. BIG thumbs up!

Just hit it with a little APC and the green staining will disappear before your eyes.... :dblthumb2:
