I used the Mother's Waffle Weave and an Absorber at times. Meh.
Finally went to Lowes and bought a Leaf Blower solely to use for drying. It took me a couple of times to perfect it but now I absolutely LOVE it. It really takes about the same amount of time, but I am happy to know I'm at zero risk really of putting scratches/swirls in the paint when I dry. At worst I dry it with the blower, then hit a little bit of QD in spots.
I know you asked about towels so didn't mean to hijack, just letting you know what worked for me.
