please help me. after seeing and reading, i really want one. now i need to know which to get for a NON pressure wash.

do you rinse then foam, or foam on a dry car?

hmmm... i will prolly end up getting that!! thanks!!!

I would imagine the free bonus is the DP Extreme Foam Formula Soap. It is the best soap for the Foam Gun. Hence the Extreme Foam name.
Love mine.

awesome!! yah im gonna order it!!! see when i can get a discount code!!! i get paid in a week and a half!! thanks again!!!

oh yah. forgot about that one. thanks!!

Gotta love a foam gun ... its not only a presoak but actually fun too !

All the kids watch with amazed curiosity when I use my foam gun. It is fun. Technique is one thing I am curious about with others. When I first got mine I would soap the whole truck and then wash a panel at a time. Rinsing that panel would then rinse unwashed panels. I did not think it was a wise use of soap.
I now split my water source and have a rinse hose and a soap hose.
I will foam a panel and wash ( 2 buckets ) and then wash that panel and rinse it continuing until completed.
In the winter when the subject being cleaned is covered with salt from road treatments, I might cover the whole vehicle and let it dwell to loosen some of the salt. Any thoughts from others?

I usually rinse before just so that if it's real hot outside the sun doesn't dry the foam bubbles on the car.
So I rinse,
then soap whole car ( let it sit for a few minutes),
then rinse it all off,
now start foaming panel by panel while foaming the wash mitt and rinsing wash mitt in rinse bucket after each panel.
I notice that having initially foamed and rinsed whole car allows the dirt to be removed more easily and less of a
chance of inducing marring due to rubbing dirt particles into the clear.

So that's the way I do it. And learned it all on this forum. So I have all you guys and gals ;) to thank!

Rinse it, get it wet first. Then fire up the foam and let it rip. Let the foam sit a bit!!

Plus, fire it in the air for the "Christmas in July (well, August) celebration!!

hahaha. hellz yah!!!

if using the half gallon canister that comes with the foam gun, what dilution do you guys use if using DP extreme foam? And what setting is your multi ratio stem at? I want the most foam!!!

I Fill the container with warm water and put a 1/4 cup of the Extreme
Foam Formula the night before use. I agitate very lightly and let it sit overnight. It is not necessary to let set overnight, but does a much better job when you do. The soap dissolves much better. Then right before us I agitate again and then use it. In fact I take a quart mason jar and premix this solution and let it sit on the shelf until use.
After I use it, I go on and mix the next batch for future use. Try that and tell me it doesn't do a much better job than a fresh mixed batch. I adjust the pin on the foam gun while using to achieve the amount of foam desired.

^ You actually adjust your pin setting during wash? If your ratio is set, wouldn't you want to leave the pin at the setting that gives you the most foam? and which setting would that be?

Reason why I ask is because I followed the instructions on Autogeek's DP extreme foam page... which states set the pin at the last hole for "most foam". My foam ends up not looking like the pics on the ad page at all... :(

That's why the pin is adjustable. I set it to get the foam that I want for that particular batch. I have used the same mix ratios of different soaps and sometimes the resulting mix is a little different. The pin adjustment is the final tweeking tool to get what you want. If the gun is set at the highest foam setting and the foam is no what you want, increase the soap in the mixture and use the pin to fine tune it.

I was giving this a little more thought this morning. I use some of the recipes that AG gave for the Exteme Foam Formula soap and some that some of the staff gave when it came out. I never seem to get the same results claimed. Florida has pretty soft water as most coastal areas do also. Here in Kentucky water is hard. A lot of limestone in the water as well as other minerals. Hardness affects soap performance in water. I am sure that these recipes were given on actual results but the water tables in those areas was much softer water. I always seemed to have to use more soap and have higher pin
settings than were given in these recipes.
I think that is another reason that the formulas that I developed used more soap and seemed to work better when they were mixed the night before and the solution was allowed to dwell overnight. But I still was able to attain the extreme foam claimed, just more soap had to be used and higher pin settings.
