'Best' glass sealer/water repellent for a novice

So 845 is ok to use on the windshield? I was not sure how it would react with wiper blades....

I find sealants to cooperate better than waxes with windshield wipers. Although I always used to wax my windshield and it never bothered me.

I agree completely!

I regularly wipedown my blades with 12.5% Ipa solution every couple of months so they are 'fresh'

No issues for me and my blades are over 2 yrs old

I recently bought the Nanoskin Glass Sealant. It has only been applied for a few weeks so far, but I can say it was much easier to apply (easier to remove the haze) than Rain-X, which I had been using for years with good results.

I hate using wipers!
I've tried Rain-X, Griot's Glass Sealant and Aquapel. Aquapel is head and shoulders above the others, but it's also quite pricey, so I'll use my GG thru the milder seasons and Aquapel when I do my winter prep. Side and rear windows get Collinite, either 845 or 476.

I recently tried Permanon's Glass Surface product - and while it certainly isn't cheap, it does make a lot of product - one ounce makes 32 oz. I mixed with distilled water and the results have been nothing short of amazing.

I applied prior to a week-long roadtrip where it rained at some point every day and the beading action was excellent. I didn't use my wipers more than once or twice during very heavy rain.

I will try to post up a review but so far for me it's been excellent. :xyxthumbs:
