hey guys, im looking to see what you all recommend for a high gloss tire dressing. i want to stay away from OTC crap which most of them contain silicone and sling like crazy. basically im looking for 3 characteristics; high gloss, no sling & durability. thanks!

Black Fire Total Eclipse & Optimum Opti-Bond are my favorites... you can do multiple coats for maximum gloss.

For best results, make sure you clean your tires very well! I recommend Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner and Tuf Shine Tire Brush... buy it in the gallon size, you'll use it all the time!

I know you said no OTC, but Black Magic Titanium Tire Gel doesn't sling, is glossy, and will slowly fade over time like anything else, but I have found the tire will stay dark for at least 2 week. It's the only OTC I use because most of them are not good as you mentioned.

Meg's Endurance Gel is also OTC and looks great. Many people complain about it slinging, but I have never had an issue. Just allow several hours for it to soak in after application before driving... simple as that. Lasts a long time too.

I always use Megs Hot Shine or Endurance and never ever have a slinging problem. Durability is not an issue with any of those either. Might just be my imagination but I believe the directions on the Megs Hot Shine advise to let the product sit on the tire for minimum 30 minutes before moving?

Hi and...:welcome:...to AGO!

Secondly:
I don't feel comfortable recommending a "glossy" tire dressing.
So I won't.

:iagree:

But, if you want the look of a clean black sheen tire go with Optimum Opti-Bond. Dries to the touch in less than 15 minutes and lasts a long time.

Best glassy tire dressing is undoubtedly PERL undiluted. Best thing is it won't sling!

3 coats of Tuf Shine on clean rubber. The BEST!

For my clients that want a real shiny tier I use Meguiars Endurance Gel. For my own vehicles and for clients that want a matte shine or medium gloss i use Optimum Tire Shine. First layer of OTS is matte then second coat always turns our medium, ive found it wont get any glossier after 3 coats.

thanks for the info. I use Adam's SVRT for a matte look and i think its fantastic but i know for some vehicles look better with a "shinier" look

Megs Endurance it doesn`t sling if it has a chance to dry. but all this stuff gets on th floor and in the winter with snow pulling into the garage can be dangerously slippery

svrt is great stuff :) Nice clean look, with nice hydrophobic properties.

I have 2 recommendations for now, a 3rd later ;).

Duragloss #281 Wet Look Tire Shine
Duragloss #261 Tire Gloss foam

These are my go to dressings for high shine customers. The Tire Gloss foam has the best control of any foam I've ever used. Being Duragloss you know it's going to stick around. :)
