Best in show.

i tryed sprying it with quick wax and a terry towel. still hell.

I'm telling you guys that it doesn't matter how thin you apply it or what kind of weather conditions you apply it under, removal of Best In Show is worse than any other wax I've ever used. I live in the suburbs of Seattle and it was probably 60 degrees and dry last time I gave it a shot.

I've had the same 8 oz. bottle for over 4 years now because it really is that difficult to remove and the results are not worth the effort. Wolfgang deep sealant looks noticeably better (at least it does on my car). I like a lot of Griot's products, but this is not one of them.

Now removing it with a wool pad is another story...I've always resorted to misting water on it to be able to remove it. Makes for a smeary job and the need for a tight grip on your microfiber.

they have good products but iffy sales tactics imo. I called and ordered some paint clay yesterday and the guy tried to sell me speed shine to use as lube. I said no thanks and he tried to scare me saying if you don't use our lube you have to be very careful or you could damage your car.

I've tried the Griots Best in Show three times now and it has always been horrible to work with. Removal is a bear no matter how thin you apply it. IMO you should not have to use another product to do something as simple as removing wax.

:iagree:

I too have tried this wax at least a half dozen times and I would have to rank it as one of the worst waxes I've ever used. I've tried applying it both by hand and a dual action polisher and the stuff just doesn't seem to dry enough to buff off as most waxes do.

There are just too many great sealants and waxes on the market to deal with this level of frustration so I have officially given up on this one. :nomore:

Best of Show is a royal pain the the rear to remove so I use it on my mailbox instead of my vehicles so at least it's not going to waste.

I too have tried BOS, A good friend gave it to me because he hated it. Well I thought he was using it wrong too thick etc. Tried it one time, let it sit for @30 minutes, in a garage car cool to touch, washed just prior, about 75 degrees no real humidity to speak of (SoCal Fall weather) and it was like cement to get off. I had to mist every panel with distilled water (more like drenched each panel) even then it was tacky and tough to get all off. I threw the rest away or maybe gave to my ex-wife she deserved it she was tough to get rid of as well!

i is now resting in the hands of the trash. will never use that wreck again. now back to the collinite 476s and 825.

If you're having a hard time removing the wax, more than likely you applied it too thick. Best of Show Wax is one of those waxes where THIN is in. Let the wax dry to a haze and use the swipe test. If applied correctly, meaning it was applied thin and allowed to dry to a haze, it shouldn't be difficult to remove. If you've found that you applied it too thick, you can mist a quick detailer on the panel to help soften the wax, making removal easier. I've found that Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax does the trick and not only aids in the removal of the wax, but also amps up the shine too. :props:

I haven't used the Best of Show Wax but I have used the Griot's Paint Sealant and it wiped off just as easy as product I've ever wiped off.

it was put on to groits specks. i put on realy thin. it was still a body breaker.:nomore:

Most of the Griot products are top notch and I have always been pleased with their customer service. I used their BOS wax years ago and IMO it doesn't compare to any number of products in the AG lineup. The stick wax does look interesting.

I've used BOS wax and removed it several minutes after application with very little difficulty. I do think Collinite 845 removes easier and lasts longer but I slightly preferred the Griot's glow.

i have been layering my waxes

first layer: TRT midnight special( swirl remover/sealer)
second layer: Collinite 825 instr. waiting 24 hours+
third layer: P21s conocurs
