Best LSP(s) to really bring out the Deep Impact Blue

Blackfire Crystal Seal followed up by Midnight Sun.

For this beauty I used...

Meguiars Ultimate Compound
Poorboys Polish w/ Sealant
Poorboys Natty's Blue Liquid Wax

That sure is a purdy color....

Here's a few cars that had spectacular looking paint, the transformation to the multicolor metallic flake paint on the Can Am Corvette was unreal.

It started out looking like this,

Ended up like this....

This is probably one of my most favorite cars that I've had the pleasure to work on since coming to Autogeek... this is Pinnacle Souveran...

Like mentioned, the majority of the magic happens on the prep side, then you want,

Something that creates gloss.
Something that creates or maximizes clarity.
Slickness is always a favorite too...

Most important though is to find something "you" like and use it often....

Me? I tend to like things I can machine apply the best... I think machine application does the best job for creating a show car finish. This means using waxes or sealants.

I like coatings and actually really like the super high gloss or glassy look they create, but they are hand applied.

I try to match the LSP with the owner, I want to make sure the owner can and will maintain their finish so it's important to use a product they can use also.

I've only used Black Label Diamond Surface Coating on my wife's SLK350 and it's easy and fast to wash and easy and fast to keep looking crisp all the time.

This was taken at our last Cars & Coffee....

Yeah I know... I'm probably not helping....

:D

:)

Wow that red Ford is gorgeous. And I love that green and black on the camaro. I'm drooling a little bit over here.

After using souveran in KY it's on my list of waxes I want to have at home.

Sorry for the delayed response, things were really hectic last week finishing up school. But now I am done for good!

Thanks for all the added suggestions. I was going to do the big detail this weekend, but it was storming, and it's supposed to continue all week. This coming weekend, it's supposed to be in the 90s, so who knows when this thing will actually happen.

But I did accomplish some major garage prep! I added 6 48-inch, T12, 2 bulb, fluorescent fixtures. I loaded them with 2900 lumen, 5000k GE bulbs, so between those and my spotlight I'll have no problem finding all the little defects :D I also got a big 30" shop fan from Harbor Freight because the cooler I am, the more likely I am to take my time and do it right.

Mike, those cars all look amazing, especially that Corvette, wow.

I know that Phoenix really made my flake pop and added a great amount of depth to my grey metallic vehicle so if looks is what your after I don't think you can go wrong there. I believe it was the best my vehicle ever looked!!
Thanks man :xyxthumbs: That picture on the AG store page for Phoenix is just sublime. I have never liked silver cars (Sorry Mrs. Phillps) but that Merc looks like it's about to melt.

That sure is a purdy color....
Forgot to say, thank you very much! That picture doesn't even do the color justice. I have another version of the picture where I modified the colors in GIMP since it looked a little washed out. The modified version actually looks more true to life, but I would have felt dishonest posting it here, even if it is more accurate.

Yeah I know... I'm probably not helping....

:D
You're helping a ton. My wallet and fiance would disagree, but I appreciate all the suggestions, and the drool-worthy pictures!
