1st of all, as you can see here, this stuff definitely works.

Right side polished with McKee’s, left side simply cleaned & clayed. This pic was taken as the condensation started.

My question is: What’s your best way to buff this stuff off? I find it a bit of a PITA to remove... I started using 1 of these Forest Green Edgeless Polishing Cloths, but they lint.

And I sort of feel the same as the following comment as I wasn’t really looking forward to having another dedicated towel to look after...

Hopefully, one more specialized MF I don’t need to keep in the system.

How do you guys feel about this polishes residue being on your glass towels? Is it ok? Or what’s your best way to go about removing this stuff? Thanks.

The 2 times I have needed the McKees glass polish #1 it did a FANTASTIC job. #2 I just let the residue dry a bit before trying to remove it and used a regular wax removal towel...the Gold Plush from AG/ACC.

Glad to see that stuff works well. This is going to sound silly, but can't you remove it with the linty towel you used, and then go over it with another (different type) towel to remove the lint? Or just wash the glass to remove the lint since it's outside? I know MF lint in the inside can be a nightmare to remove. For that matter I guess you could just wash the glass to remove the polish, instead of buffing it...then you won't have to worry about contaminating your glass towels with the polish.

Excuse me if that was incoherent I haven't had my coffee yet.

I’ve only used it a time or two.

I don’t remember if I tried to buff it off dry, but I do remember using D114 to remove it.

If it is a bit difficult use something like Eraser, or a coating prep spray. Or even glass cleaner.

I guess you could just wash the glass to remove the polish, instead of buffing it...

I guess part of me thinks or wants to see the final undisturbed result from the polish... I feel like I’m diluting or cheapening what would be the proper results if I wipe it down with something else.

I think if you wait a little longer it will haze more and wipe away easier. I used two different towels. First one got most of it but only the second got everything out.

I just cleaned the windows on my beater/DD and used D156 to help wipe away any residue and leave a little protection behind.

I decided to try a Meguiars Ultimate Wipe microfiber, along with waiting a couple of minutes as suggested for it to haze up...

Bam! This microfiber towel took it off as if it was a razor blade + zero lint. Damn these towels great!

Here’s after wiping off half of my windshield. [I know my steering wheel looks bad, I should’ve never used that APC that shall remain unnamed. Lol]

Interesting fact: Prior to using the Glass Restoring Polish, I clayed half of my windshield as it was rough and in need of a claying... To my surprise, after using the glass polish by hand Both sides are now passing the baggie test. That’s impressive.

Oh, and I couldn’t really see a noticeable difference on my windshield after using it. I guess my windshield was already at optimum clarity.

I haven’t held an ultimate wipe in some time. How do they compare to the supreme shine towels?

I recently was using my black one that came with ULW and man that thing was leaving lint eeeeverywhere. I actually had to toss some old (talkin many many years old) supreme shines recently that had lived a long and rough life.

They’re completely different than Supreme Shines. Ultimate Wipes are tight weave low nap [pretty much no nap] edgeless microfiber towels. I’ve got a batch of 30 of them and all I use them for is compound and polish removal. They’re like using a scalpel because anything you wipe it picks up with similar precision. I hope they last forever because I don’t think I’ll ever find another towel this good. Just imagine the extreme complete opposite of an eagle edgeless. Lol.

Here they are side by side. Excuse the Supreme Shine, I’ve had them for a long time and they’ve become my grade D towels.

Glass polishes are designed to be applied heavy, or wet.

Unlike a paint polish, you do not work a glass polish until it turns clear, either.

Perform 4-5 passes, and by the time you set your buffer down and find a suitable towel, the polish will be slightly "hazed" over and super easy to wipe off.

:)

Those towels are so good. Too bad Meguiar’s stopped making them. Luckily I snagged a few extra when I discovered that they were not being made anymore.
