Best paste wax for a white car

The blind test was done in the summer across I believe 7 different waxes on 7 cars exactly the same color, make and year. Anyone have a link? Based on my recollection, 845 and Swissvax came out in the top 2.

It was 915 and Swissvax Concorso/Best of Show :) Not sure if it's ok to link to another forum, just do a Google search for "big wax test full review".

I tried diamond white this weekend. Digging it out of the small jar and applying by hand did not work for me. I may try removing with a putty knife and applying by machine. I ended up using GPS followed with Optimum spray wax. The gloss is amazing. Don't know about how durable it is yet.

When you say by hand, do you mean using a hand applicator, or with your bare hands? If using your bare hands, I don't think Diamond White is the best choice - Light Fantastic would have been better, as it's the soft wax for light colors.

I like Collinite 476s and 915 on white i have tryed the dodo white diamond and was not impressed.

But I've been hearing almost always that the C 915 was best on dark colored cars and C 845 was the best for light colored cars [white, silver, etc]..

If you have pictures of 915 on a white, could you please share? :)

Thanks

It's on black, not on white, but search on Google for "big wax test full review" to get an interesting blind test of different waxes on identical cars :)

thx for the link...nice test. nearly half the people did not vote on the cars cause they couldn't even see a difference!

my take on this: why one wax is chosen over another has a lot of subjectivity/emotional factor...a whole lot, because it is what drives me to buy 100+$ wax that is indistinguishable from a 15$ wax.

i bet its even harder to tell the difference on a white vehicle.

from expensive to affordable, i dont feel i'd go wrong with any of the waxes on AG and its competitors.

it would be great to throw turtle wax (the ugly stepchild of wax) in a blind test like that.
