Best product to clean tires so you can apply tire shine

Zep purple. Works great mixed, or straight.

Have you tried a strong cleaner (undiluted APC, Tufshine, degreaser) & a stiff brush until you get clean white foam?
Should fix the problem although it's only ever temporary.

I use Megs super degreaser @ 4:1 & a stiff brush for my tyres & have great results. Can use it for other purposes so it works out cheap.

Regarding prices you US guys are so lucky! Here in Oz a gallon of Megs APC, Super Degreaser, etc is around $40AUD!
I got my last bottles from AG but even then the postage probably put the price up somewhere near that (can't tell as there was a lot of other stuff in the order...)
