Some products (like Menzerna) seem as if they've been engineered more for current, harder, ceramic clear coat. Other products (like Klasse AIO, released in 1979) seem like they were designed much more with older/softer clear coats or single stage paint. A product like Optimum Finish Polish differentiates from Optimum Polish II by saying that it's kinder to softer and older surfaces. Are there polishes, waxes, and sealants out there that have a particularly good reputation for single stage? (I own a 1990 BMW.)

I just received the Uno Polish from HD. I bought it without asking for feedback. Their claim is that no other polish can achieve the amazing results of HD UNO.on paint, clear plastic and glass Maybe Meghan can look into this too.Meghan!

I've got an 87 Benz 560SL w single stage white. I am very partial to Meguiars. I used their #83 polish, the #7 show car glaze and then their NXT2.0 sealant, topped with the #26 carnuba wax. It was good enough to take 3rd in a national MB concours in August. :) There are so many good products out there that it's tough to choose. I also use Griot's garage waxes on my other two, newer cars.
