Hello I was just wondering what you guys thought was the best process and products to get a great shine, long durability, and ease of application for a daily driver.
Suggestions??? Ideas and products
There are several processes (steps)/products that I could suggest, but it's the:
"Long"-Durability that may be a stumbling block.
That is...How do you define "long-durability?
{ Keeping in mind...Depending on how often a vehicle's LSP'd surfaces are "Touched" (<<courtesy of Mike Phillips

)
}
Waxes=Shortest (generally a few weeks)
Sealants=Usually longer than waxes
Hybrids=Between waxes and sealants
Coatings=Claims of 1,2 years...to permanent
LSP's will differ in what a Chemist/blender is trying to achieve for the end-product. Such as, and for example:
-Usually for more durability in an LSP, shine may be compromised somewhat...and vice versa.
-Ease of application may consist of additional 'chemicals/ingredients' that may affect shine, and or durability.
Anyhow...For my DD's I usually..
-Perform a de-tarring (and other road-contaminates) session
-Then a throrough washing session with my choice of several car shampoos (no wash&wax shampoo, though)
-Then the "baggie test" for claying session determination
-Followed by a cleaner/wax such as Meg's #12 (maroon bottle)
-Finally an LSP such as Meg's #26 (a hybrid), maybe one of the Collinites. Or...
-Do a prepping session for a sealant such as Wolfgang DGPS 3.0, or perhaps Klasse HGSG.
-Someday soon...A Coating
Hope this helps some!
