Welcome to AG first of all!

The answer to your all encompassing question is full of a lot of opinion and preference. You'll probably have to do some searching, reading, and some posting of specific topics to get specific answers but heres a bit of info.

The brands you listed are all quality brands. One brand might create product that you will find to be your favorite for some applications. Another brand may make a product your prefer for a different application.

In general you need to learn the correct practices and you will be able to get great results with a lot of products from these different brands.

Please take a look at this thread for some prespective (opinion) on difference in brands.

First let me introduce you to the in house brands of PBMA (Palm Beach Motoring Accesories) http://www.palmbeachmotoring.net/
The below italicized words are quoted from killrwheels from the thread I link here...
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/25448-dp-pinnacle-wolfgang.html

BEGIN QUOTE "PBMA is the parent company and owner of Autogeek, Pinnacle, Diamonite, DP, and Wolfgang. The Cobra branded towels are indeed ours too.

The design philosophy was rather simple and exciting:

Pinnacle --- Offer the best line of car care using the best ingredients

"Pinnacle XMT --- A newer line in car care centered around the use of Dual Action Orbitals and other products to enhance their use and outcome.

DP -- formerly Detailers Pride, the line is primarily if not all made in the US and designed for professionals in car care. Its the most value rewarding line with great prices and products that exceed what was onced offered in large bulk sizing to professionals.

Wolfgang --- Using the newest polymer technologies often found outside the US in areas like Germany.

Diamonite --- Plastic and Glass Care Products

Each have their own site to sell the entire line and allow the dedicated user to choose from a set of products within. Autogeek was designed as a one-stop grab the best of all in car care from PBMA and other vendors.

At least thats my personal opinion ..."

Fixed :D

I go reading on the forum,it so filled of big info!!:xyxthumbs:

I have personally found that there are many great lines and specific products in each line to help.

:iagree: With all the responses !!

Various forum members like different products. It all depends on what you are hoping to achieve as to what product you will use. (e.g. durability vs shine. Ease of application. Hand vs Machine application). I would suggest reviewing the various responses and come up with what looks like your personal preferences, etc. Then you would be able to ask about specifc product characteristics. There are alot of people here that will to help. They have used the products and are willing to give you their opinions, good or bad. By the way Welcome !!! Also, beware of the Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) offers. It will drain your wallet.

There are a lot of very good products out there. If you are new and no pre-conceived bias (brands, specific products, etc), I suspect you will be satisfied with most products sold on autogeek.net. They all work but some may offer a better "experience".

I think the most selective area is polishes where products vary more especially depending on technique.

You will see opinions on various products that will vary in extremes: like - do not like. There is usually no wrong answer. It is what works for you and your technique.

Some people want the best at any price. Others want the most bang for the dollar. Some want to stay with one brand. More want easy application/removal (no tricks needed).

What is your interest? Sit back, read the threads.

Sorry man, I don't want to offend nobody on this forum, but I'm a newbie and I just try to speak you in English because my English is not perfect to read and write...I'm from Quebec,Canada and I speak French.

You're doing fine!

Sorry for my newbies questions and thanks a lot for us to help me!!

No worries, we all start out in the same place and that's knowing nothing and if we're lucky, we meet people that will help bring us further up the road faster than traveling alone.

You're in good company here...

witch products you advice me?

Usually I answer that type of question with these 2 questions...

  • What are you working on?
  • What are you trying to accomplish?

:)

That's quite the reply Corey. I'm surprised anyone would take the time to write up all of that. Well done!

Thanks man, when I first saw it I thought where will I even begin maybe I'll go away now :) Then I thought I'm gonna go for it. I actually started the reply before anybody had replied so I was going for more then 30 minutes... I meant to do a little more and a little better but figured that was enough for starters. Some good links... Some random products... Some random opinion... :)Im the MAN

Make sure you bought 5.5 inch pads and not 6.5 inch pads for use with the PC 7424XP.

You probably wont need the Megs 83. You can go from 105 on orange to 205 on white. then maybe 205 again on black/blue to gloss it up abit.

Watch the how to videos and read the instructions posted.

Definately put a line on you backing plate to let you gauge how fast it spins while you polish. the amount of pressure you use will slow that spin down but not make it stop.

Hope this helps. You definitely will need to practice before expecting perfect results.
