Best sealant

I like the idea of the atomizer/misting sprayers... would this work with EX-P, or does it only work with Klasse SG because it's more liquid.

Wolfgang?

No one has mentioned Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. What's up with that?! Is it because it is not as long lasting/ durable as the Klasse twins?

It sure is easy to apply. I used it for the first time on Monday and it was so easy to remove. I plan to top it with Poorboy's Natty's Blue wax.

i love poorboys ex-p and the past few days ive recommended it like crazy. it does give quite a bit of protection and i find it very easy to apply and remove. i always wait the recommended 30- 60 minutes before buffing. i use the cobra foam applicator pad to put it on last time...all the other times ive used the bigger pad thats grey on one side and like ornage on hte other, but its so hard to get any wax out of the grey foam so i quit that

I am also a fan of EX-P. I apply with the gray pad and am not exactly skimpy with it. An easy, easy removal!!! And the best thing, hardly ANY dusting. If any whatsoever, really.

I will Reddwarf: Wolfgang has a great product with their sealant. Very easy to apply and remove. It also gives very good protection. The finish is super slick and dust doesn't seem to cling to the surface.

How's Dat?

I love the wolfgang sealant. I asked this same kind of question a lot of people recommended the PB stuff. But in the end I looked at a bunch of pictures of cars with WG vs PB and liked the WG look. Haven't tried the PB but i love the WG!

WG has a warmer look, more like wax, this is why most find it so appealing. That said, we have seen the durability sit in the middle ground of sealants. 6-10 weeks max. Klasse , Werkstatt, and Zaino still hold the title for length of protection.

i just ordered some fk1 2180 to layer over AIO on my wifes car . ill let you all know how it fares.

I’ve experienced quite a learning curve with Werkstatt, but it was worth the trouble. Initially I applied Jett too thick and paid the price. I then switched to Trigger and found application much easier. Now I simply apply with a mf. I start by hitting the short napp side of a mf with 4-5 sprays to charge it. I then recharge with 2 shots per panel (2’x2’). I wipe the product on in parallel strokes across the area, then back the other direction, and once more the original direction. The sealant is all but gone at this point. I finish by flipping the towel and giving the area a few polish wipes. When the dry side of the towel gets too wet to be effective, I refold and continue. Eventually the whole towel becomes too wet, I switch to a fresh one. Usually 2 mfs will do the entire car.

I don’t let it sit, or dry, or haze...I simply wowo. Although I know I use (waste) more product than other methods, I’m okay with it because I get bullet proof results. I now use the same technique with original Jett and FK 425 as well.

BTW, Trigger topped with 425 is wet, easy, and fast (the only thing in my life that is all three).

I said this before, Klasse twins is hard to beat for protection.

Does anybody know if the Werkstatt gives the same amount of protection as the Klasse twins??

I found durability to be pretty close. Considering all warn that Klasse was recently changed (post VOC regs) it means that likely Werkstatt will last longer. It is glossier looking, and finally comes with its own qd'er. Sonus rocked, but only thing in the line I ever bought so one less shipping charge.

I know this stuff isn't very popular, but I'm a huge fan of Liquid Glass. It is insanely easy to apply and remove, and it lasts for months at a time. The shine is wonderful, and when you apply multiple coats, the shine and protection is amazing.

Just use Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett Trigger....It is a spray and wipe sealant...Same as the Acrylic Jett but only a WOWO....

Personally I love EX-P, 2 layer of that plus 2 layers of NB equals yummy:D. Though I'd like to try some of the Werkstatt stuff.

How does the new DP Premium sealant compare with those mentioned in this thread???

My Dad has used it since 1991 and loves the stuff. I think its OK, but Wolfgang is my favorite.
