Best technique removing highspots?

If cured I think only way is with some abrasion (polishing) and coating again.

They say you can buff them down so how about a da with a microfiber bonnet?

Isn't there a wet microfiber method?

What coating are you using ? How long had it been on or is this trying to cover your bases before you start ?

Depends on the coating. Opti coat 2.0 that was very durable you could remove the high spots with poli seal

Mckees v1 and duragloss you could just wipe off fairly easy

Csl, ti02, UK will need at least essence plus if you did it like earlier today if it's been longer probably would just hit it with essence and recoat that area.

Not all coatings are equal.

If it's during application you just wipe with your towel of choice. Whether that's a suede. Bald wipe, cheap low pile towel, or whatever you have been using. They aren't gonna self level 100% for you. I haven't used them all but I haven't really heard of a true self leveler

BudgetPlan1 has tried more than most maybe he has an idea

Have had some I could buff off 2-3 hrs later with towel, some I could buff of an hour later, some I needed Menz 2400 orange cutting pad on DA to remove 30 minutes after application.

Usually I'll start with something light like a paint cleaner (ie mckees coating prep) on finger, move to paint cleaner on blue pad, then black, then white...if none of those work something like Menz 3800 using same gentle to aggressive pads/media choices. All by hand with no pressure.

Sometimes it works, sometimes ya just gotta get out a machine and redo the panel, especially if coating is one that darkens paint a bit.

Above is regarding high spots ya notice after application...you know, when you pull it out into the sun and have your dreams crushed.
