best tire CLEANER?

I use a wheel cleaner for tires...LOL.
works awesome though

called 'Mag Wheel NA' from Car Brite
Diluted 1:3
Spray on and watch the brown on the tires run off.......

Cleaning the actual tire? How about Bleche White?

Will a tire cleaner remove the brown on my tires? I know the browning is due to the use of solvent based tire dressings and the buildup over time. Is the brown actually the rubber turning color permanently or is that just the oils and dressings turning a nasty color?

I currently only use wash soap and Meg's brush to get the tires clean. The brown appears pretty easily have a rain.

brown tires after a rain or washing is likely do to the use of low grade silicones in tire dressing. You will find this the norm after most cheap store bought varieties. Move to a water (poly) based dressing.

for cleaning tires i use simple green diluted 5:1

for wheels i use megs all wheel cleaner

when i run out of the megs cleaner im going to try dp gell wheel cleaner

having seen the damage done by Simple Green first hand to uncoated wheels, I highly suggest a wheel specific cleaner. Pinnacle, DP, and P21S rock !!

DP Gel Wheel Cleaner is safe enough to use on your paint to remove bugs, tar, etc.! Just an FYI:D

i only use the simple green on the tires, and i dont spray it directly on to the tires i have a cheap walmart libman brush that has some softer bristles and i spray the simple green into the brush and go at it on the tire, works good for me

Hmmm...I know the cheap stuff will turn it brown but all I've ever used on my current tires was Meg's Hotshine (spray and aerosol). Technically, I did try Meg's Hyper Dressing once but it washed off after just sitting in a rain.

What I would like to do now is clean the tire really well and then switch to a water based dressing. I'm thinking that the Hyper Dressing didn't really hold well because it couldn't absorb into the tire past the solvent dressings I had on them.

What does Simple Green do? Feed back please I have never seen it destroy any wheels I have used it on!

What about 303 protectant for tires?

I use the DP gel wheel cleaner and DP wheel glaze. For tire dressing I use Meguiars hot shine tire spray.

Now that stuff is amazing too! Not too shinny, but the last on it is incredible! I give it an :applause:

Yeah, I love it. It doesnt shine too much, but dust wont stick to it at all. Wondered if anyone tried it on tires.

the bulk of wheels are chrome or painted/clearcoated from factory. As such they can resist hard chemicals, surfacants, and acids. Unfortunately an uncoated aluminum wheel is always at a state of tarnish or decomposing finish. Add into it a spray like this, and it literally turns the aluminum and brown color and streaks where sprayed. It can take a professional polisher to repair, and unfortunately not always. P21S for me ...

I use 303 on a ton of areas. It long last makes it the best on the market!

I heard that stuff is great for carpet cleaning. I doesn't foam, like APC does.
By a megs foam sprayer and place the APC+ in a 32OZ Megs bottle..when you use a wheel cleaner that foams it is actually the sprayer attatched to the bottle..

Im going to hit the tires with my DP wheel cleaner gel, then dress them with Armor All Fierce Shine foam. Thats supposed to shine more then the regular AA foam. The Fierce foam will save me a couple bucks per bottle over the Meguiars hot shine Ive been using.
