I am looking at upgrading my tools and was wondering what some of your opinions are on DA's and Rotary. My question is this; what is the best tools for improving efficiency whether you are doing a one step or severer multistep?

Second question which is your go to tool from minor to major corrections, DA or Rotary?

Third do you think a DA can cut as quick as a Rotary?

Thanks for the feed back!

That's like asking what is the best car, best pizza, etc. It is somewhat subjective and everyone has their preference for one reason or another. I have a Flex 3401 and love it. There are guys out there with the GG DA and love that because it's inexpensive, has lifetime warranty and more power than the Megs DA. Rotary typically is the fastest at correction but takes a lot of skill and the chances of screwing up are greater if you don't know what you are doing. There are many guys that are very skilled with a DA and get as good results as others with rotaries. Is it as fast? No however how many cars are you going to do in a week that you need it to be as fast as a rotary.

Glenn I think you will get many different answers. I like rotaries but now that I own a Flex 3401 I use it most of the time. It's about as efficient and can do it all plus a DA is safer than a RB. I held off buying one for a long time feeling it was over hyped but its a very good DA.

If I were to buy a new RB no question it would be a Flex 14-2. It's just that good.

I think efficiency comes with using the right pads and medium for the job required. Toss in experience and you've got a winning formulas. All the buffers out there are very good and can deliver great results.
