I'm not looking to spend much (no more than $40) but I just want a quick vacuum that can actually PICK UP CRUMBS!!

It's annoying to buy terrible vacuums with virtually no sucking power.

Any suggestions?

Unless you find a very good deal or go find one in a yard/garage sale flea market? You will not find a new one with enough suction power.
Trust me i know the feeling it feels like the cheap vaccums just push the crumbs around. Im actually on same boat but were gona have to invest some 65 dollars at least.

I would look for a better grade used one for that price.

I got a shop-vac 5hp that cost me around $45, works wonders!
It does wet and dry extremelly well, no loss of suction whatsoever (I use it on daily basis)

No point in spending more than that really.

I use a Rigid shop vac. You can get a small one for around 40 bucks and all the add ons. I would definately buy the slanted piece as it is great for in between the seats

its no miracle worker but I use hoover road rat wet/dry vacuum $20-$30 Model # L2020 12v socket. I have never used it on anything wet (as I have not needed to), but it gets the job done.

I have a 12 gallon 6 horsepower Shop-Vac that I got fom Lowes and I love it. You really should spend a bit more a get a Vac with some Oomph behind it.

I picked up a Ridgid 4 HP wet/dry on wheels that I use for $90. I love it. It's easy to travel with and works wonders with plenty of power.

Wal Mart has a Shop Vac for 30 bucks that is 2.5HP and heck I dont know maybe 2 gallons or something. Anyways, I bought it to keep in the boathouse at my family's lakehouse and ended up liking it so much I brought it home. I use it pretty often on my own vehicle and also when I go camping etc. I have used it on quite a few details as well with no problems. It's not a workhorse, but for the size and price of it. It's hard to beat.

Where u guys live? I live in california and cheapest i found in my local hd,lowes is 50 dollar shop-vac plus tax is around $55-60 :( nothing thats close to 40 except ones under 1.7 hp

You can try looking on Craigslist, I just got a used RIDGID WD4522 for $40 in great condition with all the attachments and manual, I definetly got lucky. some pawn shops carry alot of tools too but Craigslist is usually where I look first.

Ah I just checked CL.

Someone is selling the Rigid 5HP (listed May 6th) for $50. Hopefully they still have it and I can grab it for $40 :P.

I just bought this Shop Vac at Lowes for 30 bucks. It's 2.5 HP, which is awesome for a Shop Vac this small

The only thing is, it doesn't hold a ton of stuff before emptying. I'm very pleased with it. It's powerful enough to lift the carpet up off the floor, and ,sucks liquids out of carpets well. Also , it hangs up out of the way on your wall, as space is important to me.

4 Gallon Wet / Dry Vac - RIDGID Professional Tools

He says he has this one brand new, it doesn't have the muffler.

Is it needed or? I assume it silences that vacuum.

It's an accessorie so I am guessing It's something optional, If it's already opened you should plug it in and see how it works when you go buy it. The one I bought was on CL for 3 weeks so I offered $40 instead of $50

He's firm on $40.

He says it's brand new in the box (but where's the muffler???).

I'm trying to bring him down to $35 since I'll be driving to him ($5 covers gas both ways lol).

Hopefully he agrees for once.
