Best Value for MEGA pack of microfiber towels

Careful. I was a huge fan of the CG Fluffers(red with green border) for years. I have over 40 of them alone. I ordered up another bunch this year and to my surprise they cheapened up the towel tremendously. Thinner, terrible stitching completely different color border. The new Fluffers are absolute garbage.
On the right is the traditional Fluffer left is the new crap I recieved

Top is The old good Fluffer, bottom is new, note very poor stitching

Sorry for phone pics. I did call Jay at CG about this.Very pleasant guy,was more in awe of how many microfibers I own andnot the issue that their new stock of fluffers are barely wheel worthy.

I really would like to see AG sell the CG microfiber towels :hungry:

Now that's something I'd really be surprised to see. I'd surmise that they have pretty high profit margins on these towels, and it'd be pretty easy, for a company of AG's size, to contact the factory making a certain towel and buy from them directly, rather than reselling towels that are already just relabelled (there's a reason why you can find multiple similar towels, just under different names, on the various internet stores).

CG has some great products. While trying to avoid breaking the rules, there are other vendors in their area that sell the same thing cheaper, less shipping & handling and faster service, etc.

Rules? As I think many of us give AG a ton of business, I also think there is nothing wrong with noting/posting of a reputable storefront or online site with quality products at a fair price. Competition is good and, in the long run, provides consumers like us with better goods and services.

I hear what you are saying, but the same logic can be applied to PBMG house chemical brands vs. competitors.
Anything can be duplicated, but Autogeek sells many brands and it is always nice to be able to purchase more of what we want from our preferred vendor.
I realize that AG cannot sell every SKU# for the manufacturers they carry. The issue is addressing what the customers want to purchase. Sure AG will sell a lot of its own branded MF towels (and I own a lot of them), but the question comes down to not losing potential sales for what may ultimately be purchased elsewhere.

The difference with the house brands vs other company chemicals is that the other companies' formulae are (supposedly) proprietary, and therefore an identical product will not be as easy to create and resell. On the other hand, it'd be easier to acquire the same MF towels from the various factories that make them, and then rebrand them - and it would definitely be more profitable than buying from another rebrander. As an example, what incentive would AG have to sell CG's super towels, when they're selling (pretty much) the same product in their Cobra Gold plush?

I really need to pick some of those up! Look super soft.

Yeah they are, I use them and there is no way they could scratch the paint unless you picked something up with them. At 3$ a towel they are a good value.

what about costco microfiber value packs

Are these the 36-pack Detailer's Preference towels? I have a pack of these - they start out reasonably soft, but degrade and become rather rough after a few uses. I use them for the engine, wheels, and other similar areas.

I ha e some costco and sams club towel, at first they seemed ok. I have since retired them to task towels. I bought a few dozen microfiber "super towels" from a local detial supply with silk edging but after some washes the sewn edges are starting to come apart.

I have to admit the golden color cobra towels from Autogeek are the highest quality towel I own. Price to me is high but you get what you pay for.

if you like CG towels, go to stocktowelsnowdot.com

Anyone use Detailers preference I've been getting them for soooo cheap at Costco 15 bucks for 36 pack and they seem to work very well bought ten packs
