Best vinyl and dash protectant??

Anyone use Sonax Dashboard Cleaner?

I use it. Personally, I prefer 1Z Cockpit. I did a very short, off the cuff review of it http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/70025-comparison-sonax-dashboard-vs-1z-cockpit.html

It is a quality product from a quality company (in fact, one of my favorite car care companies) but I think that there are a couple of dashboard cleaners that have it beat. Not to say it is bad - it's top 3 easily - but when I vote with my wallet I find 1Z Cockpit to be in my cart.

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on their cleaning power because my dash was just dusty, however 1Z openly claims it is a mild cleaner, with Deep Plastic being the heavy cleaner if needed. I think the SONAX is a heavier cleaner, only based on the fact it foams when agitated with a microfiber, but again it is just my speculation. If you wanted to try it out, I doubt you would be disappointed. I'm sure there are some good reviews on the forums for you to check out before.

I'm using Meg's APC+ followed by PERL right now. The PERL is a little too shiny for me on some surfaces though. Once I figure out how to remove the PERL that's overly shiny on my lower door panels, I'll try it again by buffing right after the application.

Any recommendations on PERL removal? Maybe it's just me, but seems the APC+ wasn't making it budge much

I just used Einszett Cockpit cleaner which is very nice, but does this provide any protection?

I used Mothers VLR on top of it (which sucks btw).
Did you ever think that by your act of "mixing" these two products may be the
reason/culprit behind your stating that Mother's VLR "sucks"?

I've used them separately as well. It is harder to achieve an equal luster in my experience.

I've cleaned with VLR and then treated with 303 before and had no problems.

Cant go wrong with 303...Try it! If you don't like it Ill buy the rest of your bottle :)

Meg 40 make sure you wipe off with micro cloth, product has uv protetant. I've heard good things about 303

I would really love to take this opportunity to point something out. All glass in modern cars filter out almost all UV rays that damage plastic. You really only should be concerned if it is a convertible.. Just throwing that out there.

Megs ultimate protectant I like. Cleans and adds color back but not really so much gloss

My favorite is Flash Wax (local company) Presto. Gives a nice, non-greasy luster and can be cut for more a matte look. Very similar in looks and performance to Duragloss vinyl and leather dressing, which is also awesome.
