Ive searched and searched and my main question is what do you suggest for a wash mit. Some say wool. Some say chanelle and some say microfiber. So post up what u got, why u got it and where u got it from. Thanks!

I have this sheep skin pad.

Sheepskin Wash Pad, wool wash pad

I love it! It doesnt get good reviews due to durability, of which I can attest for. I got two, and one fell apart after 3 uses. It literally was falling apart in chunks. No idea what happened. My other one however has been going on strong for almost 8 months now. No change in care either, so I guess I just got a good one.

It doesnt shed anymore. I LOVE IT. Very soft on the finish, no wash induced marring.

Megs sheepskin is my favourite. I use to for all paint surfaces and use a micro fibre mit for plastic trim, front grill etc.

I have a few a microfiber one, a wool one, and the dodo juice wookies fist. I love my wookies fist. It holds soap so well, and washes fantastically. It pulls the contaminates away from the car, but that can be annoying when cleaning it. Have to brush it occasionally to keep it perfect. And it is pricy, but I would say it was a great investment.

The best mitt is will be what you like to use yourself.

If you purchase a decent quality one they will all can be safe if you properly use them (insure they are clean as you work).

I like the wool mitts because of the feel and can control the pressure on the paint. Some of the denser chenille mf (dreadlock) can get heavy (loaded with soap) but still use them at changes for a change. Thinner mitts can conform to nooks like around grills.

Given the price and given they do wear out, you can buy a couple (always should have a spare) and decide for yourself.

I think the wool mitt would be my first choice....:props:

my fav is the carpro merino wool mitt . I also have the wookies . these are used on my vehicles only . little bit of upkeep with these two gotta comb em out when done . mf chenille then for all else . I use a quality plush mf towel folded for rinseless washes .

i use a dog/pet hair comb . stiff metal bristles prob like 1/16 to 1/8 inch apart . use it ever time u done washing . I comb it out a little while it's drying too . comes out like new again nothing matted plus it help get out any foreign materials that are embedded in it .

I'm probably one of the only anti-wool mitt advocates. I probably treat them wrong or something, but their first use is always amazing and then after that they just turn into a tangled clumpy mess that won't absorb water. Granted it's been years since I've even tried to use one again, but the MF pads/mitts from Griot's have served me great. I haven't had one fall apart on me, and since I've got to do a separate wash for my MF cloths anyway, they're easy to keep fresh and clean.

The best wash mitt...is no wash mitt in my opinion. However if I had to choose a mitt of some kind it would be one that is safe, lasted and looked like new after 100 or more washes, dries completely by air- whipping it 8 times with your arm, and brushes out easily with a pet brush.

I've used lots of different mitts in the past, but the carpro wash mitt is my absolute all time favorite. I can't say enough good things about this mitt...

Even though the tag on this one says "Aquartz"; it's actually a Carpro mitt (before they were available in the US)...
