i tried the schmitt for the first time last night. i put it away after the first pass. not because i don't think its great, but only because i was doing a rinseless wash and i've made a decision to only use foam mitts with regular washes where its full of soap and suds and microfiber for rinseless washes. for rinsless wash the foam soaks up the water so the foam is the first thing to touch the paint whereas the regular wash the suds are already on the paint and foam making that barrier. i may just be paranoid. anyone here use foam mitts for rinseless with no problems?
I think it was last year that I got the wash mitt from meijer.
They work fine with a grit guard. Two bucket wash with dual grit guards and you can hit them with the hose for an added rinse along the way. My mitts look as good as new. I machine wash and line dry them with a bottomless plastic cup inserted in the cuff to ensure the air gets to the inside of the mitt.
I switch it up between a lowes grout sponge and the mothers sheepskin.
The Meijer near me got some of these in stock finally, so I picked one up over the weekend. Honestly for $6.99 (I think) it doesn't seem bad. I will probably pick up a couple more just in case they decide to stop selling them again.![]()
