I have a Monaco Blue metallic BMW which for those who don't know, almost looks black unless it is direct sunlight. I just ordered some BFWD sealant and would like to top it off with a wax next time I do a full correction. My metallic is almost non-existent unless it is in bright sunlight. It really makes the paint look better if I can see it. I know compound/polish helps a lot, but what wax will help? Looking to stay under $50 for a pot.

Responses will be subjective, simply because people have their own favorite wax. Two choices would be either the BF Midnight Sun or Pinnacle Sig Series II. I have used both and prefer the Sig II on my black Mercedes. Hope this helps.

Recently tried pinn sig 2 on my wife's red dodge journey with pretty impressive results

Boy have u opened up an opinionated door! I am huge fan of souveran. I use coly 845 as my durable wax and souveran as my apply every 3-5 weeks. Honestly I usually top my 845 with souveran. Another great couple of waxes on dark colors are natty blue and s100. I have two black vehix and these are my go to. Good luck.

Poorboys natty blue looked awesome on my indigo blue silverado

Of series ll and I like it a lot. I'm searching for another wax to compleat my cars color and was planning to sell it or trade it. If your interested pm me. It's be used 3 times

A have a blue granite SUV and I use Fuzion wax during the summer and Collinite 845 in winter. Great results with both.

I've used Natty's paste wax red on my Cosmos E36 M3 and the blue fleck comes out great! I would give it a go.

Here's my monaco blue 335i - I'm new to machine polising but this was after weekend #1 with my Griot's DA. Compounded, polished, and then Blacklight with Pete's 53. I'm pretty happy with the results and it seems like a good combo for this color. Really liked the Blacklight! :props:

Looks like it came out great! Are you going to layer the Pete's or stick with one coat?

Thank you sir - I had a blast at least getting this far.

As for layering, I tried that with a panel and didn't notice much difference. I have a little roadtrip coming up starting tomorrow :cruisin:so I've got the "essentials" bag packed up and may play around with that when I get back next week....

I guess its just the nature of Monaco Blue to not really show its metallic that much, although it is one of the coolest colors I have seen. Thinking I might place an order on a blue velvet pro sample.

My summer car which is dark blue metallic I use WG sealant and top with Pete's 53 looks amazing
