Old wax residue or other product...what do you guys use to clean them...I tried APC, IPA, 303 and the white stains wouldn't go away...
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

OPC and some agitation should take it off,if not try DG wax eraser.

First off, did you use a brush to get into the textured trim? If apc/degreaser didnt work, mineral spirits/kerosene/diesel/tarminator...etc will take care of it no problem.

If its textured I use magic erasers, HD has a generic brand for cheap

Depends on what the cause of the white mark.

Peanut butter
Plastic polish (normally my best bet)
APC (various)
IPA (didn't do much for me)
Mineral spirits (sometimes yes and sometimes no)
Glycerin
Trim dressings

Still trying stuff.

What vehicle do you own?

Add DuPont Prep-Sol 3319s to the mix above and you'll be able to clean just about anything you'll come across!

I'll add one to the mix,if the white stain is wax:

Griot's Garage Dried-On Wax Remover, remove dried wax, Griots Garage Wax Remover

I've seen you recommend this before Bobby as a pre sealant/wax prep. I'm going to give it a try.

Scott,

Another product I recently found that works just as good for half the price is Prep-All by Kleen Strip. Again, these products are formulated for the automotive paint or autobody shops to remove surface contaminates for paint perparation.
