Holograms are typically caused by the use of a rotary buffer with a heavy cutting pad, heavy cutting compound, or a combination of both. The circular scratch pattern is caused by the rotation of machine.
I'm assuming if you are getting holograms from applying a "wax" you are using some sort of cleaner wax with abrasives in it. I would recommend applying a cleaner wax using a DA (instead of a rotary) and a polishing or finishing pad to prevent the appearance of holograms.
The simplest way to remove holograms is to polish with a DA machine for your last step.
