Best way to remove wax??

So I got my first question answered about how to put on a wax/sealant.....now whats the best way to take it off?

I give a light spray of Wolfgang or Meg's QD, or Pooryboy's QW+ and just buff off with a microfiber towel.
 
You could wash your car with dish washing liquid, this strips all the wax off.
 
You could just use any polish or swirl remover. That is their job.....to clean. This means any chemical like a swirl remover will remover any wax/ polish on the surface.

Please do no use dish washing liquid. If you insist on removing the wax during the wash, do this. Fill your bucket with car wash soap and water as usual. Then just add 1/2 cup simple green or APC. This will aid you.

You are talking about removing it from the whole car and not just caked on areas right?

PLEASE keep the dishwashing liquid in the house. It can be more harmful to rubber surrounds and weatherstripping. I suggest using a mixture of alchol/water 70/30%. If you are going to use a paint polish, AIO, or polish, you need not worry as they will remove old sealant and waxes anyways.
 
Actually I was asking the best way to remove the excess immediately after applying it....more circular motions, side to side, up and down, straight lines, etc?

i think he means after you have applied it how should you remove it... microfiber towel is probably best... i dont think direction matters
 
I take off my waxes and polishes without using circular motions, to again reduce potential for swirls. I am looking to try this new spit shine deal, where you use a QD to help dampen and remove dried sealant and glaze.
 
Before I was "reformed" by Pinnacle, I used to use the Meguiars NXT liquid wax. That stuff was very difficult to remove sometimes and even then it would leave a residue and "tigerstripe" my car. That made me very unhappy to say the least. However, the Meguiars NXT QD did help remove the initial wax...then I just had to work out the "tigerstripes".

I actually do this all the time!
Works really well. Low dusting (if any) and boy o'boy the SHINE! Works really well taking off polish. I also use NXT spray wax to remove polish to on my high-volume days for dealerships. Gives protection to the paint as you remove the polish. Plus, I don't have to wax the car.

I'm sure I'm gonna get some responses to this!
