Best window cleaner on the market???

I dont recommend auto finesse crystal glass. It appears to just be rubbing alcohol. I didnt like it at all.

I really like Auto Finesse glass cleaner. Great cleaning power and never streaks. Use microfiber towel specifically for cleaning glass.

I use V7. I know it's not a true glass cleaner but no streaks and I can see myself in them. Accidentally found that trick one day

ONR is also great on glass, but as stated before, it's the towels that make the difference.

I like invisible glass either as an aerosol or a manual spray.

I then coat the window with dp glass coating and it is fantastic!

I got the invisible glass via Motorgeek here. In the uk and the dp via autogeek!

I've used a lot of glass cleaners through the years and I've settled on Meguiar's D120.

Meguiar's D120 is a concentrate. I dilute it 10 parts distilled water to 1 part concentrate as directed. Using distilled water is more important than you might realize.

Tap Water

Regular tap water contains all sorts of minerals and soluble chemicals. Once sprayed on the glass then wiped, these contaminates deposit themselves on the otherwise clean glass leaving streaks and ghosting.

Distilled Water

In general, distilled water is regular tap water filtered then boiled. As water boils it gives off steam. As the steam cools it condenses returning to it's liquid state MINUS the mineral and other soluble contaminates...

Distilled water is available nearly everywhere and reasonably priced at about $1.00 per gallon.

For streak-free gas always to remember to use 2 microfiber towels, one to wash and the other to dry. Remember to flip the wash towel other wise you'll be redepositing contaminates back on the glass making your task more difficult.

I would say that window cleaning is 50% cloth, 30% technique, 20% product. The trouble is that, if you have that initial 80% not right, then it is totally hit and miss what product is best. In practice, you should not see much difference between good products, when used correctly, with the correct cloth.

There is also a tendency to have extremely high levels of alcohol in some of the products (check your MSDS). Such practices are there primarily to cover up failures in that initial 80%. You simply do not need the 50 or even 80% IPA which I have observed in some products. Not only is it a total waste of money, it also demonstrates a lack of formulation thought because there are equally good ways of doing it which are safer.

Steam! and if not steam, Stoner Invisible glass aerosol.

Technique is very important with glass. When I clean glass I have a rotating supply of rags at the ready. I spray the cleaner/stem onto the windows, starting with the window's leading edge. then i dry the edge with next rag. CLose the window, and spray cleaner/steam, wipe/rub horizontally to clean, use next rag going vertically up&down to wipe off residue. Buff with third cloth. Inspect from different angles. Repeat with all other windows, inside and out. When you think its clean and feels dry... buff it more. there are always more streaks you miss. When its humid a day or two later or theres lots of body heat in the car you can sometimes see the buffing lines/circles and how good a job you did. Same with sun. That is why I prefer steam (plus less of a chance for streaks). I use microfiber to clean, and always use terry cloth rags with "bite" to buff out the streaks. Otherwise the windows turn out streaky. And make sure you're not using dryer sheets/fabric softener on your rags (in general, but ESP for window cleaning). Good luck!

Try steam with a squeegee, then dry any remaining water with microfiber or glass towel. Very effective.

As you know that in the past people dusting the things and clean the windows and glass by water or a wet cloth. It shines better not superb. As the technology and world is upgraded. So new cleaners and chemical agents are introduced to wash and clean the places and the things. Now you can go to any general store, there are a lot of cleaners displayed in the ranks with different formulas but the main chemical agent is same in all.So you can get anyone from these and try it.

There is no "best" window cleaner nor anything else for that matter when it comes to personal preferences. Try something and see what works best for you. Chances are pretty good the best glass cleaner is right on the shelf in your local household cleaning section. This isn't a top secret detailers only category.

Invisible Glass, no streaks whatsoever.
Great for an over the counter product, I use the foam type.

I just tried sprayway glass cleaner and may have found my go to

I usually leave these comments alone I can't any more lol.

I get what you are saying but by best it is safe to assume he is looking for something that is great at cleaning, streak free and low cost. Whatever fits the 3 the best is the best.

Obviously something like sprayway is better than mudwater.
