Best WOWO Wax for durability

Some sealants are called waxes. Meguiar's Ultimate Wax is one such product. It is not WOWO, but it only requires 3-5 minutes of set-up time, and can be applied in full sun. It's durable, relatively inexpensive, and available everywhere (including Autogeek). You can boost its gloss and protection by using Ultimate Spray Wax after each wash session.
 
The idea of a WOWA spray sounds good but I worry about its application being outside and having to deal with wind and so forth.

I will look into the Collinite 845 and do some research on its application because at its price point, that would be tough to beat if it offered a solid shine, ease of removal and extended durability.

I'd be tempted to try the Fuzion too but its way up there even though one gets a second tub and I suppose I was trying to gravitate towards a more affordable product just in case I were to run into the durability problem I had with the Souveran.

To answer both, yes I did read it. He wanted something WOWO not sure collinite has WOWO's, at least the ones I used weren't. Also, my comment was directed more toward those who swear by collinite and give it as the end all be all answer. :xyxthumbs:
 
Can't go wrong with DG #111 or #105 for sure, Collinite #845, 915 and even #476. #476 is considered the best for durabilty but let's be honest here, if the surface is prepped and polished out nicely, #476 will look good! Being outside 24/7 you also might wanna consider a coating but as they say, its all in the prep work (paint decontamination and polishing)

No sweat, I wasn't really directing that at you, more responding to RTexasF's comment, and how some threads really seem to get off track--maybe because everyone's standard answer is "Collinite" :)
 
I'm enjoying this thread for the simple reason the OP asked for a recommendation for a WOWO wax and people have recommended everything from:

- regular waxes
- conventional sealants
- coatings
- spray waxes
- WOWA sealants
- spray on coating tech type products
- coating boosters

So, I'm going to recommend one of my favorite products: Tuff Shine.

(but, I'm not going to recommend Collinite).

All kidding aside, some of the reason for the range of answers is that the OP seemed like he might not be aware of the full range of options available to him, and the other reason is the (off-track) tendency for members to respond not with answers responsive to the OP's question, but with products that they themselves like.

Which brings me to the sobering fact that maybe everybody who is reading this thread is skimming over it really fast, because...it's the middle of the day...and they are AT WORK?? I notice that weekday daytime usually has the highest activity on the forum...which sort of says that "hey, my personal time is too important for reading the forum, I save forum reading for work". /rant
 
HAHA, I can't lie to you, my head was spinning a bit after all of the information from sealants/WOWA/coatings, etc but I appreciate it, and I'm going to maybe pick one or two items from it all and try them out.

Its such a shame that the Souveran does not last because i can't imagine a wax going on and coming off any easier than that. It is INSANELY easy to put on and take off, which is why I was hoping for something similar in ease of use, but with more durability, heck even an extra 3 or four weeks would be good over what I got now. We clayed my car, did a good job of getting it squeaky clean and prepped prior to the Souveran application but it just doesn't last.
 
Nothing is easier than a WOWA sealant. If you are only looking for a few weeks longer than what you get now, then maybe those waxes you mentioned in your original post ARE an answer.
 
This is only my opinion, but Souveran is a show car wax. Its function is to give that extra pop to a show car, and is not meant to be durable or to be used on a daily driver. Using it on a DD is just throwing money away.

Hey tuff shine is technically wowa not wowa .. Lol.

I read the OP and even though he was asking for a WOWO wax he also said he was looking for something quick and easy to apply at the car wash. Something with better durability than souverin which is why I recommended Optimon spray wax.

Oh and I happen to be typing this up from my phone while at work ...

KIDDING Don't talk to me about throwing money away, I have enough car products to last until 2048 and I don't even have a show car. Plus by 2048 I think NJ will be under 10' of water.

True that, I drive a corolla, the car has more expensive products on its body than I do. I wear jeans and tshirts, car wears Fuzion, lol.....
 
As for a Hard Paste Wax, and if that's what you ideally want, you will search the world for a wax that will last longer than Collinite #476. Now they might be out there, I haven't tried every uber cutting edge euro-foreign product out there, but in any case, doubtful you'll ever find as durable a paste at #476's price.

Hard to apply, or remove Colly #476? No, not really at all, if it is applied correctly, (And not a 10 year old can of product) and like all other good pastes, this one IMO should not be applied in direct sun, or to hot paint, so for a "Wax at the Carwash", this one might not be the ideal pick?

If you want another inexpensive pick, with again very good durability, then the Duragloss products come to mind, such as 105, 111, and then use something like Duragloss Aquawax Spray at the car wash for a quick detailer.
