Better gloss than Duragloss?

I've tried several of the better known waxes and sealants... The Collinites, ULW, M21, NXT, and Carnauba+, the list goes on. But I recently tried DG111/601 and it blew me away. The gloss is incredible. I've mentioned it in another thread, but I can't believe this gloss is even possible on a vehicle without machine polishing first.

Question: is there any other sealant that can beat this 111 gloss without machine polishing first? If there is I want to try it! (Not including coatings)

If you like the gloss of 111 you might want to consider Finish Kare 1000p. It's like another coat of clear on the finish and it's dirt shedding, protection, durability and self drying capabilities are amazing--very coating like in it's behavior. Fantastic protection from bird bomb etching also. Only downside is that it's a paste which I find a PIA compared to a liquid. I applied two thin coats last spring then a third coat in October and it's still performing almost as good as day one.

It actually bests coatings in the ability to prevent water spotting and etching. And if that's not good enough, it's $18. A tin will last years. In so far as the original question of gloss, I can't say it's better than DG 111 if gloss is all you're looking for.

111 fan here too.

The very first time I used 111 was on my old bosses brand new Lincoln. He owned a few auto matic, tunnel car washes, and I worked at one of them. He took that car through twice to three times a week, and that 111 held up for months through that tunnel. That is where I gained my respect for 111.

101 gets over looked a lot too. I got a few jobs last summer just from the 101 I applied to my Dad's car. It easily got my mom's car through the winter too.

Another job I used 101 on last summer is still beading up, and looking great. It was a friend of my gf. I remember that the first time I did it, I finished with NXT 2.0. A week later we come to visit, and there's dust all over it, didn't even look like I did anything to it. The next week I re-polished, and applied 101. Beautiful!

FK1000p lasts 6-9 months. It's great in hot climates. It has a 240 degree flash point. Great on wheels too.

I'm hear that DG's "Track Claw" is the most slick of the finishes. It's made for race cars. Anyone tried it?

How long does it last ?

I put on two thin coats last June then another in October and it's still going strong. Granted my car is garaged at night, but it spent a total of 4 weeks this winter sitting in the open at the airport 24/7. Even the residue from the jet exhaust that collects on the car hasn't phased it. On return after one two week trip there were a number of bird bombs on the paint that clearly had been there for a while--washed off in a snap and no etching at all.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I can comment on 105 vs 111. I did a coat of 105/601 (hand app) and while it worked well, I wasn't overly impressed. No complaints, though. About a month later I did the 111. The difference in gloss/shine was incomparable. 111 knocked the socks off 105 as far as gloss goes. As for differences in durability, I can't comment. But I can say for certain that this 111 isn't going anywhere any time soon- I can tell by the way it has responded to repeated washes and weathering thus far. It's gonna last several months for sure. I'd bet on it approaching 8+ months (I refresh with Aquawax after washes). One comment for the beading fans- it doesn't bead nearly as well as the Collinites. So, if that's your thing...

Yep, paint is in pretty good condition to begin with (2014 Toyota). I'll have to look into the FK.
