Between a car wash and a single bucket from ONR. What's your choice?

Well here in Brazil we don't have these diy coin wash stations .... so i have to pay a little more money to get my car blast with water on a car wash..... But I'll do that only if it's pretty dirty... If just light dirty, i'll go with 2 buckets and onr alone ...

I'm not sure of the conditions of the roads and in Brasil but if you don't get much mud on the car you could wash it with ONR alone.

This is the worst condition in which I've washed my car with ONR:

I needed to change the rinse water about 3 times and took me about 1.5-2h but it doable if you really must.
The key is to wash in small sections at a time and do multiple passes. For that condition I usually do 4 passes on the same area to ensure the panel is clean before drying.

Best solution is to do some soft of pre-wash or at least rinse the car before doing an ONR wash.

To me its a no brainer. ONR all the way. ONR used improperly is still better than a tunnel car wash that beats the paint up and adds all those scratches.

Omg I would never use ONR on a car that dirty. I would go through a touch less wash then use ONR

Sometimes you have to :D
I rarely wash my car in that condition, but usually I have to deal with alot of dirt.

Even after 1.5 years and no polishing my car is swirl free. ONR is that good!

I am a rookie to forum and home car detailing -- but really looking forward to it -- can a car be "too dirty and salty" to safely use a no rinse wash like ONR? I'm used to rinsing the dirt off with a stream of water and then loading with suds to get a car clean before I scrub. If I take a "too dirty & salty" car to a coin op hand pressure wash (which will get the worst of dirt but not the salt), can I safely use the ONR with a 2 bucket system, vs. suds type such as Wolfgang Auto Bathe? If it matters, the car is a 2012 volvo. Thanks.
