Just going to post my (yes, I know)

unpopular vote for using the included handle on the GG6.

I love the handle in certain situations, allows me to hold on to it with a finger or two between sections, use the handle as a rest, and for my big finish.... I can still do this:

That is, cup my hand over the head of it when needed.

•I’m a:
-“the handles are always properly
attached to the tools”
kind of guy.

-I accredit this to: established work rules;
and OSHA-habituation; being drilled-in:
over, and over, and over during the course
of my work-life.

You got some strong hands... must have done a couple 2-steps in your time?

I always vote for “what works for you”. No right or wrong in my opinion...... as long as the end result comes out fine.

:iagree: this also pertains to different polishers, pads, polishes, compounds, etc,..

The handle stays on mine because it makes it easy to hang up...and more steady when I set it on the bench upside down

Hey, no argument here, Pauly! I agree with the good DrOldz and Visitor. I'm not a handle user myself but to each his own. I like that you like it!

I never argue with anyone on what they like. Hell, I've found so many new tips, tricks, products etc from you folks over the years just because you've shared what you like. I try to maintain an open mind.

Great post!!

Keeping an open mind allows us to learn and improve IMO!

The only handle that I use is the loop handle on my Makita rotary. I have a drawer full of side handles.

Mike sold me on the no handle on the polisher early on ;) I can see benefits of having one one. The D handle is probably good. It won't put pressure on the wrong area while working like the side handles. And yes, much more stable platform when the polisher is on it's back waiting for the next cycle.

Handles are for Sissy's!
Ask Mike P again about handles.
•I didn’t ask him the first time;
really didn’t need to, because:
Every picture tells a story”.

•Since you’re trying to squirm out of
your Sissy-proclamation...are you say-
ing that Mike P. used to be a Sissy?

Handles are for Sissy's!
•How about Todd H.:
-Still a Sissy, or not?

Your pejorative words, not mine.

Was just janking Paul's chain. Look at the "like" he posted on my post. He knew I was joking, but evidently you didn't.

Funny thing is, I really AM a Sissy.:laughing::laughing:

Doesn't it get in the way?

To me? Absolutely not.

Like I said, I find it very useful.

Maybe it's just me, and I am in no way the Worlds Strongest Man, but I am by far not the weakest. ;)

But how bout carving into areas, under mirrors, on top of bumpers for example, without the handle hitting.
It looks to sit about the same width as the pad would, in my eyes not such a good thing.

Your toy, I don't want to tell you how to play with it.

I have my PC set up as a 3" for the tight spots, spazzz-o-matic. :)

Good question, though. I know exactly what you mean.
