Big Life Changes

Sorry I haven’t posted photos…
I closed my one account where I hosted pics so I’m having a hard time posting pics!
I’ll figure it out… To be honest I haven’t been online much lately. Just been too busy!

Try TapTalk. :xyxthumbs:

Finally posting a few pics…

Here is my Kharena:

Been doing lots with her as well as trying to continue some running.

Still need to wash my poor truck

SUPER JEALOUS! I grew up on a farm with several horses and I would love to have one again.
Just not sure I am properly educated on caring for one, I got away with being a kid when we had them.

Thx Meghan!
Well, I board her at a barn, so anything I don’t know I just ask. And there is lots I don’t know.
I get help all the time with training, nutrition, supplements, you name it!
It’s definitely an experience :xyxthumbs:

How much time is spent riding her (vs. just interacting with her)?

I know nothing about horses.........

I’d say a 1 to 3 ratio… 1 being the time riding.
I spend time just talking to her, grooming her, watching her in the field… it’s all pretty Zen to me.
I’m not one to just show up, ride, then dump her in the field until next time.
Sometimes I stop at the barn just to give her some treats and some scratches.

That is kind of what I thought, Monica.

Horses are some of the more majestic animals on the planet, and I would expect you'd have just as good of a time "hanging" with them as actually riding them.

Congrats, kid. You have found something 100x better than detailing.

I will probably find some time to give the truck some love over this long weekend.
To us it’s messy, but to the average Joe they’d think it was spotless.
But my detailing for others is definitely over. Just no time.

Howdy everyone!

Wow, so I see I haven’t really been on in a few years… shame on me!

Well don’t worry, I still keep my vehicles in tip top detailed shape.
And more importantly, I still am a car/truck enthusiast!

Got this guy a year ago… It’s that Anti-Matter Blue which is gorgeous, just a PITA to keep clean.

And now this is my new truck. Gotta love white!

You do need to do it now!

I lost a detailing buddy last week. He and I and our wives hit shows, museums, road runs etc. Total shock how your life and lives of others around can change in an instant.
Really sorry for your loss John, that really sucks.

Since this thread has a theme of sorts I should pass this bad news along:

MadMerc passed away about a year ago. Him and I always met up at C&C's, exchanged txts, etc. I hadn't heard from him via txts, never really called him because we saw each other so often but through another person who knows him he told me the unfortunate news and it was the message that hit me..."we lost John about a year ago", may he Rest in Peace

Also this year, a fellow car guy I met through AG, his name was Ted, also passed away (can't remember his screen name, sorry) Ted was old enough to be my Dad and he lived his life to the max, raced his Mustangs all around the east/Daytona, had bad luck with them and bought a Cayman S and sent me glowing rotor pics from Daytona! Ted came to our Dragon Run 4 years in a row, each year with a different car. Ted was a retired attorney and told the best stories about EVERYTHING!

Right before he died I txt'd him about staying tough through this, he even went in AND out of hospice and I thought things took a turn for the better...but they didn't My buddy in Tennessee sent me his obituary, he died the same day O.J. died.

John and Ted, you'll be greatly missed, I'm welling up as I post this, hard to write....

Howdy everyone!

Hi DetailKitty
I remember you were the one who said you had your floormatts tucked away in your garage in brand new condition and didn’t bring them back out until it was time to trade the car back in… Looking back, do you regret doing that? I can’t imagine something like that raising the value of a vehicle that much + why cheat yourself of ever enjoying the floormats just to save that pleasure for the next buyer who probably won’t care to keep them clean?

Just thinking out loud.

Monica loves Husky liners

Good memory!

Yup, every time a vehicle goes back, it takes the brand new mats with it.

I don't use them because I do not like carpet floor mats.
And they don't work well for my lifestyle... which is going to the barn every day. Those things would just not hold up.

I do like Weathertech/Husky liners, but recently I just get the all weather liners from the factory.
They are VERY nicely made, not expensive and usually come with a little "flare" for the model I got.
Case in point, the F-150 mats say F-150 (go figure), and the F-250 mats say Super Duty.

Despite the size of the new truck, it's very easy to clean up.
I truly love white
