Big Project... 39 Outerlimits

This one is a doozy guys. Boat is a 39 Outerlimits, twin 650 EFI motors topping out just a tick under a 100mph. Belongs to a very good friend of mine. After two long years of waiting, I will finally have the opportunity to get her in for some paint correction. Its a 2004 and it has seen better days. I hear the clear is very very soft, however I will be doing my usual test spots. It's going indoors on Friday so I'll have my first go at it on Saturday. I only have 4-5 days to complete it since boat is going down to Key West for a poker run. Its going to be a very very tough deadline.

If I wasn't going to SEMA this year I'd be at that Poker Run. I've gone every year. I'm good friends with the guy who's working on the gear cases for that Outerlimits boat at this very moment. Boat racing is a small world!

Definetly is. I wasnt aware he was refreshening the gearcases but it is getting a full mechanical checkup before the 300 mile round trip to key west. Funny I just spoke with the gentleman a couple minutes ago to let him know I was coming done and he was very skeptical of bringing the paint back to life. I guess we'll have to see :buffing:
