Big Volume Detailing vs Us

Well yeah detailing and a car wash are 2 completely different things. I wouldn't even compare them.
 
Maybe it's just me or do some people here sound like snobs?
I don't know why some people here act like they are so much Better than these "car wash" places. Is it the proper way to take car of a car, No! But to each his own.
Some of these car wash places I know have to pull in over 500K a year, and to ME money talks.
Plus I'm sure a lot of us here go to McDonals, Jack in the Box and all these other fast food "restaurants" knowing very well they are not good for our health. McDonals is just like the drive thru car wash places, people know it's bad but it's cheap, quick and gets the job done.
So don't turn your nose up at these guys.
 
Nothing wrong with these type of businesses.

They are the difference between auto cleaning services and auto detailing services.
 
JUST MY THOUGHTS I believe most us forum members are ok with these type of establishments, because we know we are on another level, My issue would be their terminology as well as mobile and shops, they (LOOSELY) use the TERM - AUTO DETAILING. There are steps such as claying that as of now NO MACHINE is capable of doing so a wax job is not a good choice for a drive thru, but claying is part of DETAILING. Some use the term compound & polish in DETAILING to us COMPOUNDING & POLISHING steps considered PAINT CORRECTION

Most forum members here that do CORRECTION WORK may take hour or days and multiple steps as to where production places and a few mobile guys, take minimum time and or may use fillers or inferior products
