So I have a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster that I thought I had taken good care of. This weekend I used a little Megs Ultimate Polish and was pleased with the shine, but scared by the scratches that popped out! So this week/end I plan to use some Ultimate Compound followed by the UP to get this paint back to looking like new. After pictures hopefully soon to follow!

Used my Harbor Freight DA with 5" hex logic pads, Megs Ultimate Compound and Polish, and Collinite 845 to finish. Makes me want to get some smaller 3" pads for this type of job; maybe one day. Very pleased with the results! There's a couple of deeper scratches that didn't buff out, but I'm still very happy. I think she goes faster now due to the slickness!

After taking the seat off, noticed some damage from old saddle bags

I would not obsess too much over the fender paint if it is under the seat, because it will constantly get scratches. The best thing you can do is occasionally go over it with light compound ( I prefer 3M PerfectIt) followed by a machine or hand glaze (again, I use 3M), then wax. But expect more scratches, it is part of life with a bike.
