Had to park my 2011 Forester with metallic charcoal gray factor paint under a bird meeting place. You can guess what happened.

Need suggestins on how to remove the leftover stains on the paint. They feel proud of the actual surface, but I can't seem to get them off. Any suggestions ?

What have you done? Have you washed, QD'd, what? If you have done a thorough washing and you can still feel them like that, it may have crazed the paint. Pictures?
 
Good washing, at this point that's all. You can feel them and they are dull but it seems they may be on the surface. Sorry to be uninformed, but don't know what QD is.
 
Quick detailer. Here is what I do, usually. I try to neutralize any acid in the etch by making a paste with baking soda and water and rubbing that into the spots and letting it sit for a while. If there is anything stuck to the surface after your washing you should probably pick that off of clay it off before the baking soda.

After you have neutralized the etch spot, then polish it...you can use something like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound our Ultimate Polish that you can get locally at Wal-Mart, etc. Get yourself a microfiber applicator while you're getting the polish. Just make sure you have any grit etc. removed before polishing (clay will help with this).
 
Of course, there is always revenge.
