Bird got me!

Car pros essence plus is meant to polish out coatings... has no abrasives though don’t know if it would work for sure.

That's strange, never heard of bird poop etching glass . A little polish should take it out, along with whatever coating is in there.

Must have been very hot glass. I wonder if its just the glass coating that etched.

That's paint, not glass. She just said the car has a glass coat which is just another name used for nano coating, ceramic coating, quartz coating, etc.

Unfortunately is can be very hard to fix those. The acid in the bird poo can etch fairly quick and if it's done that already, only abrasion will resolve but it will also remove your coating and require reapplication in that panel.

Its the sudden temperature drop of the bird poop landing on a very hot sun heated panel that causes the clear to mold itself to the texture of the poop. That's why you can have high spots within the etching that are higher than the surrounding paint. Autoglym (UK) did a study on this about 10 years ago. Have you ever noticed that nothing really happens when your car gets pooped on in the night time? The urea in the poop will cause staining if left too long though

I got a nasty etching out of a 911 GTS where the owner left it for about a year in the AZ sun & heat. If you zoom in, you can see just how bad this Porsche was neglected.

I used Mike’s article and worked on the spot by hand with a MF applicator and some 105. By hand you can exert more pressure. Of course we went over the whole car by machine.

After a no rinse wash of the spot to get the crusted, baked, fried poo off. You can see the etch is much like yours.

After by hand:
