I park in the same spot with my 03 Dodge Durango. No problem. I take my Challenger to work today for the first time, park in the same spot and wouldn't you know it!!

Chet, I feel your pain!

I just washed the Jeep only to come out find bird crap all over the fender, hood, and front bumper......I hope that bird finds a nice cat to play with!! :bat:

My car sits outside 24/7 and I rarely find bird poop anywhere, lol. But since I keep the paint protected so well, it hardly sticks.

I agree Bobby. A cat would work well here!! Dirty rotten birds!

Yeah me to. There's plenty of protection there for sure. Bad thing was I had to drive home with it cuz I didn't put my "emergency" detailing kit back in the car after winter storage

Used Blackfire Waterless wash on the poop. sprayed it, walked away to grab an artic white and when I got back it had rolled right off. That's a good coat of nuba or three

My guess would be:

When a vehicle is so shiny…"mirror-like"…
Any birds that are flying over it, perched nearby, or upon the vehicle…
are immediately affected by: Delusional Misidentification Syndrome (DMS).

-Bird-DMS has been defined as a belief (delusional, no less) that the reflections
they are seeing are actually those of another bird.
-Birds, being territorial, take aim at these intruder-birds…
then by releasing a boat-load of crap, they feel they have uprooted these scoundrels.
Woe to anything in its path!

The acronymDMS…(When being bird-referenced)... should also mean:
Defecation Must Stop

Nevertheless:
We've got to: "Keep on Shining"

I like your George Washington poster Chet.:props:

Thanks Chris,

My wife got that for me at the Woodward Dream Cruise last summer so I framed it and

hung it up. Well framed it with some leftover baseboard and a piece of plexiglass hahaha

That is a very cool poster and like most things I have a story to go along with it....

While working in Boston, one of the other managers, Steve, bought a beautiful new Black Hemi Challenger. Steve's British but I never head it against him!

Steve gave me a nice tour and popped the hood covering all the bases. We back inside and on his office window was that same poster with George Washington posed perfectly in front of it when a few British troops standing around. Knowing my history and Steve being British I had to ask the question; doesn't that hurt a bit?

Steve looked at me sort of confused and asked me why? I looked him straight in the eye and said; didn't you lose that war?......:D

Since this is a family oriented forum I cannot repeat here some of the things he called me!!

I heard a study on the radio years ago. Saying that birds crap on certain car colors more than others . I don't know the exact colors but I think red and white were at the top I could be wrong tho . Something about brighter color cars I believe .

:detailer: Its like they know you just spend hours on your ride and are just being a**holes about it, it drive me crazy, and with a truck you cant always see it on top until you go to wash it again

I file this thread under the Murphy's Law, I think its rule #1253 IIRC.

I don't think it's the car, I think that bird poop season just officially started...just yesterday I noticed poop on my driveway under the trees.

I've had about 40 cars so far, they seem to LOVE blue and white cars for some reason. I think dark blue gets it the worst. I had my red Jetta parked next to my friends dark blue S4, his car was hit at least 20 times, mine once (must have been an accident). No trees anywhere near. Just at the top of a parking garage.

Bird bombs suck but what about those perfect splatters on complete verticle panels........gets me thinking sometimes. I beleive it intentional!
